When you do augmentation rhinoplasty, do they also cut the center part of the nose? --------------------- [Original message] --------------------- I had my stitches removed yesterday. I went in for disinfection on day 3, and at that time the doctor said I could wash if I wanted to. So I took a shower with gauze covering only the sutured nostrils..^^;; (Of course I couldn’t wash around the nose because tape was on it.) And on day 5, it felt so stuffy that I just peeled the tape off myself. I also showered with my nose covered, and that day I gently rubbed and cleaned even my nose. On day 6 I had the stitches removed. They were sewn with dissolvable thread, but the doctor said because of the risk of inflammation it would be better to just take them out. So I had them removed.. and as expected, it barely hurt. (I’m a guy but I’m pretty much a coward..) As of today, day 7, my condition is.. 1. First, they cut the right side of my nose, and there is still bruising around my right eye. There’s also a scab. 2. The tip of my nose has become hard. I didn’t touch the tip itself, but maybe because there was a stitched area, it feels hard. It hurts like a bruise when touched.. thanks to that, the tip of my nose looks puffy..ㅡㅡ;; 3. From the front, the bridge of my nose stands out clearly. Because of that, it feels a bit exotic, or maybe I should call it thick-looking? Hard to explain.. It feels like I don’t look like a native Korean. Maybe it’s because of the swelling..ㅡㅡ;; And my eyes are long horizontally.. they look even longer.. (Did that change the overall vibe?) 4. From the side, my cheekbones look sunken. Maybe because my eyes don’t protrude, my cheekbones look flat. As for the nose shape.. it feels like they left my original nose shape and only raised the height. It looks like a straight nose, but also a bit crooked.. 5. About the swelling.. the area between my eyebrows is definitely swollen. If I press it, it dents and bounces back. It’s also swollen like I gained weight. In photos, it looks puffy..ㅡㅡ;; 6. My nose is a bit crooked. I already knew it was crooked before surgery, but now that it’s higher, it seems more noticeable. It’s only something you can see if you look closely though.. 7. The bridge of my nose is definitely thick. I heard female and male silicone are different.. and it really does seem that way. Because of that, the bridge looks more prominent from the front. 8. When I tilt my head, I still get a feeling like blood rushes to it. But I don’t feel any foreign-body sensation inside my nose.. A few days ago, when I said the vowel “o,” my nose used to feel pulled, but that has gotten much weaker. These days I laugh and sneeze however I want. (Actually.. I’ve been sneezing as much as I want since the day of surgery..ㅡㅡ;;) Ask if you have questions.
