They gave them to me willingly when I said I wanted to write a review I edited the eyes myself It’s now exactly 5 weeks since surgery, and this is a review to celebrate getting my wafer removed I wanted to shorten my philtrum, so I ended up doing double-jaw surgery as a preceding surgery.. First of all, my upper jaw and lower jaw were on the long side, and I had a protruding mouth shape and a recessed chin. I tried to avoid double-jaw surgery by getting nose surgery, chin filler, and lip filler, but I guess cases that need double-jaw surgery really should get double-jaw surgery.. In the end, I got double-jaw surgery... The filler I got in my chin caused bone erosion.. The filler that felt like my own bone was melting my actual bone..ㄷㄷ Anyway, I reduced a lot lengthwise: upper jaw 6 mm, lower jaw 5 mm. The director showed me a design reducing the upper and lower jaws without philtrum reduction, and a design reducing both very aggressively. I absolutely wanted to reduce the upper jaw as much as possible, but I was really torn about the lower jaw When I told him, “I’m really worried about this part.” He showed me that the upper-to-lower jaw ratio is like this for an actor-like face versus an idol-like face, and explained well that I only had to decide before surgery. In the end, after thinking and thinking at home, when I actually saw 5 mm, I felt like my long, long lower jaw would need to be reduced about that much for it to show. The dissection area would be wide anyway, so it would sag, and even if not, it would sag with age, so I thought wouldn’t it be good to create one support structure^.^? so ㄱㄱ On the day of surgery, I was so nervous I couldn’t sleep, and I was going to take before photos in the patient gown but forgot everything I went to the hospital room, put my bag down, changed clothes, washed my face, went into the operating room, and was wrapped up in a blanket When I opened my eyes, the surgery was over Just like everyone said, it really felt like pain from my bones being crushed, but after a little time passed, it gradually hurt less I breathed hoo-ha hoo-ha, zoned out, the junior director came and checked my progress, and sometime at night or dawn the senior director came and told me the surgery went well and that I seemed to be recovering really well I was so fascinated by the post-op look that I kept taking photos, and drinking water felt so precious And I was hungry on the day of surgery. I was ready to drink New Care right away, but because of the general anesthesia, I could only have it much later So as someone who loves eating, I was a little sad. I also learned how to brush my teeth, but even a baby toothbrush wouldn’t fit, so even brushing just a tiny bit completely drained me.. From day 2, I could walk by myself, so I went back and forth to the bathroom as a walk, and kept refilling my cold packs for no reason. After consultations were over, I could also walk around the lobby, so I looked at the night view and read the magazines in the lobby On day 3, I slowly prepared for discharge, had the blood drain and IV line removed, was taught how to wear the wafer, and they washed my hair too. I thought I wanted to be hospitalized just one more day... because they took such good care of me... I quickly got discharged and came home, caught up on sleep, tried taking the medication they gave me, and lived like that; at week 1, I went to get the sideburn stitches removed, At week 2, I had the stitches inside my mouth removed.. people said it didn’t hurt, but for me it hurt like crazy... a few tears Thankfully, my nose wasn’t too blocked, and if I gently opened the nostrils with a cotton swab, I could breathe through them even a little, so from the day of surgery I attached the wafer rubber bands and managed okay I received the medication as pills. I put one pill at a time through the slight gap, added water, and gulped it down I absolutely did not want to take powdered medicine They say I swelled less than other people, but swelling is still swelling I got progressively uglier in the order of Moomin (bee-stung bear) -> rodent type -> baby gorilla... My nose also swelled, so it subtly looked wider too Still, I prayed it would get better, did things only to the extent that I wouldn’t overdo it, and drank lots of water Now I’m at one month, so I guess it’ll gradually get better^.^ Now that it’s week 5, the wafer is out, and I can eat regular food (except hard foods), so life feels a bit livable~~~ The wafer screws honestly didn’t hurt at all. I didn’t believe it until they removed them but I really barely felt anything, and it was just like, oh there’s a bit of bleeding~~ They said the thing caught under my double chin, whether it’s muscle or whatever, is normal and will gradually improve as I chew normally, so I decided to watch it Ah oo ee~~ working hard on muscle exercises..! Sensation has almost all returned on the right side of my lower jaw, and the left side is coming back very slowly I eat well to begin with, so I only lost about... 2 kg The director said I did well, but now I’m going to diet Ah, the reason I had surgery at this hospital is that I had picked exactly 3 places for consultations and planned to do more if needed, but this place gave the best consultation, and I trusted the director a lot because he was like Brainy Smurf During the consultation, I didn’t know much, so my questions were all over the place, and if I didn’t understand, he explained again at a level I could understand and didn’t show any sign of being tired And he worked hard to understand what kind of result I wanted They say double-jaw surgery doesn’t mean much from the front, but because I did contouring too, my overall impression changed a lot, and above all I’m so satisfied that my gums don’t show even when I smile broadly, and that I’ve come to like my own smile... It may sound like nothing...
