Double-Jaw Surgery Reviews@jaw-review

Double-jaw surgery I had because of protruding mouth and gummy smile (even pin removal comp…

I had a complex about my protruding mouth since I was young. So I got orthodontic treatment, but there were limits to correcting a protruding mouth with orthodontics alone. When I had consultations, they said the only remaining method was double-jaw surgery, so I chose double-jaw surgery. Many people around me had double-jaw surgery at EU Oral & Maxillofacial Surgery. Seeing acquaintances of mine who had surgery with Dr. Kim Jong-yoon and had good results without a single side effect, I thought I also wanted to have surgery with Dr. Kim Jong-yoon without even needing to consider other hospitals! At 1 month after surgery, it was uncomfortable because I heard a wind sound every time I breathed, but the director said that can happen and that it would improve over time, so I felt less worried. Now all the screws have been removed, and I’m able to start practicing chewing little by little, beginning with soft foods! I’m happy because there are gradually more things I can eat. After more than a month since double-jaw surgery, many things improved. The blocked feeling in my ears gradually disappeared, and a lot of sensation in the jaw area came back too! After restarting Pilates and light workouts, I felt like the swelling was also going down faster. And at 6 months, after half a year had passed, there weren’t major changes compared with month 5, but I think the biggest change is that sensation is gradually returning and my masticatory function has improved so I can chew hard foods well. And They said pin removal is possible from 6 months onward, so I went for a consultation recently, and finally scheduled the pin removal date! hahaha Once even the pins are removed, I think I’ll feel much cleaner and relieved. I think the bunched-up feeling at the tip of my chin will also disappear a lot, and when I receive facial contour care similar to meridian massage, I think I’ll worry less about “What if the pins break?” haha The correction of facial asymmetry has improved a lot too, but for now, because of swelling, my right jaw still feels like it protrudes a bit more, so if this part can be corrected during pin removal, I’m planning to do it!
