It has been 11 months since my double jaw surgery, and I find myself looking back on the whole process. The worries and fear I felt when I first decided on the surgery are still vivid, but looking at how I am now, I am certain how right that choice was. Every time people around me compliment me on how my facial line has become more natural and how much better my impression looks, my satisfaction and pride grow. Right after the double jaw surgery, breathing was difficult and the swelling and pain made things hard, but as one month, then two months passed, the discomfort gradually disappeared and daily life became manageable again. Compared with before surgery, I can eat well now, and above all, being able to open my mouth confidently when I smile has greatly improved my quality of life. My orthodontic treatment is not completely finished yet, so I still have to be careful with certain foods, but the orthodontics is also entering the final stage, and I expect that inconvenience will soon be resolved.
