At first, I had everything done: silicone on the nasal bridge, septal cartilage for the nasal tip, and even osteotomy. If you looked only at the nose, it was pretty, but it did not suit my face, and it was big and long.. Originally, I had a cute-looking face, round and soft enough that people thought I looked younger than my age, but my impression changed completely, looked sharp, and made me look older.. So 6 months after my first surgery, I had revision surgery where the silicone was removed and the nasal tip was lowered. But instead, the nasal bridge was low while only the nasal tip was pointy, so it looked even more unnatural... My original nose length was not especially short, but because the columella extended long, my nose looked too long, and the nasal line stretched almost straight, giving it a strongly masculine impression. I even heard adults say I looked handsome...ㅠ So today, 11 months after the revision surgery, I had removal surgery to take out all the cartilage that had been manipulated in the nasal tip. I had all three surgeries at the clinic where I first had it done. The director was skilled, and there was nothing like inflammation in my nose or a botched surgery, so I kept doing it there. Each revision cost 500,000 won. During this removal consultation too, the doctor said there are people like that sometimes, and that if I feel uncomfortable, removing it is the right choice. Right before surgery today, the doctor also asked if I had made up my mind for sure and whether I would not regret it, and then performed the surgery. In this community, I have seen posts about truly unconscientious plastic surgeons.. but thankfully, that was not my case. After today’s surgery, the doctor also told me that all the cartilage had been removed well. Since this was the third time opening only my nose.. my family has become indifferent now, so today my mother did not come either, and I had the surgery alone. Before the surgery, I was still scared and nervous, but I was alone; even when I came to the recovery room after surgery, there was no one, and I had to pick up my medicine alone, so I did feel a bit sad;; While putting a knife to the pretty face my parents gave me three times.. when I think about how I made a fuss at first saying I would get nose surgery, then revision surgery, and now removal.. I felt I had really been an unfilial child for making my parents worry. And more than anything, because the same place had to be cut open three times to open the nose.. I felt so sorry to my nose. So in the waiting room, I touched my nose and said, now I’m really removing everything and ending it.. Please just endure this time, I’m sorry.. All the emotional suffering I went through because of my nose... What others call being a slave to the nose... How could I write down all the worries and hardship here? Maybe because of that, today I was anesthetized again and whoosh~ got sucked somewhere, then felt my nose being opened, heard the music in the operating room, and as the anesthesia gradually wore off, I was listening to Cho Yong-pil’s “Hello,” and then they said, the surgery is over~ And at that moment, really... I smiled automatically. I wondered why I had gone through all this suffering for 2 years over this, and also felt, now it really is over.. I’m so glad.. So in the end, my impression after removal is that I feel completely relieved. I’m still not fully out of anesthesia, so I’m dazed and my writing is rambling, and as the anesthesia wears off, my nose is starting to hurt.. But now that I have taken out everything that had been tormenting me all this time, it really feels like I’m finally freed from being a slave to my nose.. From the years when I was debating nose surgery, to the first nose surgery, the second revision surgery, and removal.. When I looked in the mirror, I only saw my nose; when I took photos, I only saw my nose; when I looked at other people’s faces, I only saw their noses.. Now it’s over. Even if it is not a very high and pretty nose in other people’s eyes, I am satisfied and so happy just because it is now entirely my own nose. Ah, if anyone has experience, I’d like to ask~ Because I’m worried about the open-incision scar, scar tissue, and contracture, I’m thinking of taking Rizaben, but I heard plastic surgery clinics are expensive because it is not covered by insurance, so I’m thinking of getting it prescribed at the clinic I’m currently visiting for otitis media. If I say it is medicine I used to take because of the above symptoms (I originally have allergic rhinitis and atopic dermatitis), will they prescribe it? For those who have taken Rizaben, when and how did you take it? I heard taking Rizaben can burden the liver.. If anyone took supplements that could offset that, what did you take? Since this is my third open approach.. please recommend ointments or any other methods that are good for open-incision scars~ And if anyone is agonizing over removal, please leave a comment, and within my experience I’ll tell you as much as I can. I also received a lot of help here from my first surgery onward.. Thank you for reading this long post. Have a good day^^
