Nose Re-Surgery@rhino-redo

I had removal yesterday and went to the hospital today~

Today I went in, had the gauze under my nose removed, and just had disinfection done I met the director and heard that the cartilage inside my nose had been cleanly removed, so I felt reassured once again^^ Just in case, I asked about taking Rizaben and they said Rizaben is a medication only taken in serious cases where the inside of the nose has been extremely disturbed or something like that. In my case, my condition is good and the removal was done cleanly, so I do not need to take it~ Also, I was worried because I tended to form some scar tissue after my first and second surgeries, and the director said he had already deliberately given me a scar tissue injection right after surgery! Actually, when I first had surgery, I researched online, made up my mind, came to this hospital for a consultation, and decided on surgery right away. They did not advertise much, the atmosphere was not flashy, and if anything, it was a hospital known by word of mouth for rhinoplasty. And the doctor was a board-certified plastic surgeon. During the consultation, honestly... the director did not have a particularly friendly vibe, but I also consulted about doing another area, and he confidently said that even if I had that surgery, it would not have much effect, and that doing only this and that would be enough. Seeing that he did not recommend unnecessary surgery made me feel, this is the place! So I ended up having my rhinoplasty, revision surgery, and removal all only at this hospital. Even thinking about it now, I do not regret choosing this hospital. He is skilled, and because he did both the first surgery and the revision neatly, I think I was able to have the removal done neatly as well. At today's consultation too, he told me the cartilage removal was done cleanly, so I can now live at ease^^ (Oh, in case anyone asks about the hospital information... this is in Daegu~ So it may not be helpful..) So if there is anyone thinking about having surgery for the first time, when choosing a hospital, rather than a famous hospital, a hospital that advertises a lot, or a hospital with fancy facilities, the most important thing is a place where a board-certified plastic surgeon directly performs the surgery. Also, when I read posts in this community, there were cases where people were told a famous director would do the surgery, but during surgery a young new doctor came in and operated~~ I heard things like that. So I think it may actually be better if it is a hospital where one director definitely performs the surgery. And a place where the doctor feels trustworthy. I also think it is really important to choose a place where the nurses and consultation managers are kind. Once you have surgery, you can never go back, and because you are entrusting your face to them, please do not be tempted by discounts or events. For me, since this really is my final surgery, I am diligently drinking pumpkin juice and bought Cica-Care in advance because I plan to manage the scar and I heard humidification is important after removal, so I am keeping the humidity in my room adjusted and doing that. Ah! And the shape, which people who want removal will be most curious about! Yesterday, because of the blood under my nose, gauze was placed there, and today the gauze was removed and only taping is in place, so I can see the nose shape to some extent. Maybe because there is still swelling, the height of the nasal tip is still as high as when I had surgery. As for the nose looking a bit long because of the columella that was lowered during surgery, it is a little hard to judge from the current shape, but my mother says that even looking at it now, the nose looking long seems to have improved. And I do not know if it is just my mood, but even over the taping, my nose looks much more natural haha It feels a little rounder haha And yesterday, as soon as I came home after surgery, maybe because there was no swelling, my mother said it actually seemed prettier hahaha And I still have no swelling today! It is day two.. Yesterday when I slept, it was actually uncomfortable, so I could not sleep completely sitting up and slept at almost a 45-degree angle, but I did not swell at all, and since my nose is taped, I am not sure, but I do not feel like my nose is very swollen either. It is really fascinating, because during my first surgery and revision surgery, my whole face swelled a lot. I wonder if removal normally causes this much less swelling.. Anyway, after thinking about removal for several months, now on the second day after removal, I feel that I did really well to have it removed. Thinking that all the things I had been worried about are gone makes me feel so relieved too.^^
