Nose Re-Surgery@rhino-redo

Anyone with severe open-surgery scars.. or anyone who had removal through an open approach

Last year, my nose was opened 3 times.. 2 were open approaches and the last was closed... all at the same clinic. The reason for removal was that the shape of my nose was really... f***ed. It was silicone + septal cartilage + cartilage tying. The last closed surgery was when I asked them to remove everything, but later I found out they had left 1 piece of cartilage in my nasal tip ㅡㅡ Seriouslyㅋ I don’t know if they couldn’t take everything out because it was closed.. But this clinic was famous for using Medpor... I said I didn’t want to use Medpor, but I have no way of knowing whether they really followed what I said. So right now, I can’t be sure whether what remains in my nasal tip is septal cartilage or Medpor. Sigh.. I’m sick and tired of that clinic now.

Anyway, I was afraid it might collapse if I touched it more, so I gritted my teeth and lived with it for a year. A year has passed.. For those who had removal, do you sometimes get headaches? When the weather is a bit chilly, I feel pain around the nasal bridge where the silicone used to be, extending to my eyes and forehead. Because of this, it often leads to headaches. I’ve rambled for too long. Anyway, I’m planning to have complete removal this time. The problem is that the open-surgery scar is still there even after more than a year. Haha.. I’m a female college student. I’m at an age when I should be looking pretty.. At the school restroom, I heard people talking behind my back about me (it was about the open-surgery scar.. saying things like how can she still go around like that), but I just stubbornly endured it and only focused on getting good grades hahaha... It’s really something I don’t want to remember.... I got criticized so much by my family too... Since I had the surgery with money I earned myself, I had nothing to say either... I’m sure there are many people here too who are enduring this kind of emotional hurt.

I’m trying to have complete removal this time, and I wrote this long post because I wanted some help. I’m worried about choosing a hospital too (for now, I’m considering a university hospital), but in my case, because of the open-surgery scar.... I wonder if it would get a bit better if I receive something called scar revision surgery... If anyone had it done at a university hospital, or if anyone had removal surgery because of an open-surgery scar, I know it’s shameless, but please share some information... I’ll probably need removal through an open approach again this time and then scar revision surgery, right?... When I touch my open-surgery scar now, I can feel that it is sunken...
