It’s not just removing the silicone, but also removing the nasal tip (ear cartilage). I’m planning to leave the cartilage that was tied together as is. I went to Seoul and saw the doctor who did my surgery. Even though I asked for complete removal, he said we should remove the silicone first, look at the balance, remove a few pieces of nasal tip cartilage? or something to balance it out, or lay in a thin layer of silicone;;; So I said, no, I hate all of that, please don’t put anything inside my nose. Then he said okay and that he would aim for complete removal, but would look at the balance....;;; He kept saying that. Since I was also doing my eyes, he quoted about 100 for the nose. I only said I was doing my eyes because I was worried he might give a rough consultation. Still, I thought it would be better to have it done by the doctor who did my surgery, so I left a post on the website. I said that instead of writing a preoperative consent form, I wanted him to promise he would do complete removal, and he said that would be the goal, but we should see during surgery;;;; I’m getting confused now as to whether he’s trying to scare me like with other people, or whether he’s worried the shape will look strange after removal ㅠㅠ I think it’s probably the latter... I had my hump shaved down (not shaved 100%) and had surgery with 3.5-4 mm silicone and a cartilage strut. When he touched my nose, he said the silicone wasn’t that thick, so it should be okay to remove. But he keeps saying we should see during surgery, so I can’t trust him. I’m in Daegu now because of work, so going back and forth would probably be convenient. I looked into nearby hospitals, and the prices vary a lot, but two places quoted 80 for silicone + cartilage removal. I’d have to go for an in-person consultation to know... But the hospitals are small and the facilities aren’t as good as Seoul, so that also bothers me. If it were just silicone removal, maybe, but since cartilage is being removed too, it’s right to go to a skilled doctor, isn’t it? If it were everyone, would you still go to the hospital where you had surgery, or would it be better to have it removed in Daegu? My head feels like it’s going to explode.
