Nose Re-Surgery@rhino-redo

It has been 16 days since removal.

It has been two months since my nose surgery, and due to psychological anxiety, it has now been 16 days since I had the silicone, osteotomy, ear cartilage, and nasal septum removed. I read so many removal reviews in this community and worried so much, but the doctor said it would be the same whether I removed it now or later, and gave me confidence that more than 95% would return, so I had it removed. He said the remaining 5% is that the nose might become slightly firm. He told me not to worry because that would loosen over time. After the nasal tape came off, oh my god, it was my face. The area where the silicone was removed throbbed. I was told this would gradually get better, and now there is no stiffness; it is just my own nose height. Maybe because of the osteotomy, it is a little higher than before, and I like that. I was worried because I saw removal posts saying the nasal tip would lift, but maybe because it is still day 16, or maybe I am okay... I had an upturned nose, you know? But it is exactly halfway between my pre-surgery nose and post-surgery nose. So I kind of like the nasal tip too... I keep thinking I hope it just settles like this....... When I wake up in the morning, it feels a bit firm and swollen? But only I can tell; other people can't tell, not even my family;;;;; So when I do warm compresses in the morning, the firmness loosens a bit and it gets a little smaller~~ I also massage it from time to time. It is a massage where I hold from the nasal bridge with my fingers and gently pull down to the nasal tip. They said this helps the firmness loosen faster. The doctor said so~~ Now nose massage has become a habit~! I also asked about taking Rizaben, and they said I don't necessarily need to take it. Since I had it removed when there was no inflammation at all, there is no contracture and it will just go back like my old nose, so they told me not to worry at all~! Just in case, I asked several plastic surgery clinics, and they also said I don't necessarily need to take Rizaben. They said if there is no inflammation and no problem with the current condition of the nose, there is no need to take it. Some people develop a lot of scar tissue and some do not, but that differs by person. They said even if it lifts very slightly due to wound contraction, only the person themself can tell, and if it lifted from that kind of wound contraction, it will come down later. They say 1-2 months after surgery is the period when scar tissue forms a lot. They say you have to wait until 3 months have passed to know the shape of the nasal tip for sure. I also went to an ENT clinic, and the inside of my nostrils is fine. They say I don't need to take Rizaben, and that after 6 months it will soften and loosen. They say Rizaben has many side effects,, Just in case, I am going to an ENT clinic in Seoul tomorrow to get examined once, ask again, and if they say I don't need to take it, I won't. The nose is important, but the body is important too~~!~!! I had open incisions twice, but rather, after removal, the open-surgery scar seems to be healing faster~! After surgery, the redness lasted a bit long, but now, even though it is the second week, there doesn't seem to be much redness? What I am doing for care now is warm compresses morning and evening. Whenever I think of it, I also do warm compresses a little. Then the firmness loosens.. I am also massaging habitually. I bought and take a multivitamin, and effervescent vitamins. lol I take those too. I try to eat a lot of things like fruit. Rather than necessarily getting vitamins through medicine, there are many vitamins in the foods around us too,, I was also scared by many removal posts and worried a lot. I am emphasizing this again, but if you are going to remove it, have it removed at the hospital where you had the surgery~ because they know that area well, what the condition of the nose is and what manipulations were done. And I hope you don't get too scared; Please don't be too frightened by removal posts either. Unless you are really sensitive.... Only you know about the changed nose; other people don't know; Just as worries pile up and create more worries, think lots of good thoughts, and anyway, it won't change into something stranger~~~~~ As time passes, to the point that you will forget you even had it removed... I already feel like I am forgetting; I'm worried. lol It also feels like wound contraction hasn't come, or maybe I just don't know.... Just as recovery differs by person, when you look at some removal reviews, there are people who are completely fine, and just as there are not many removal posts after more than 3 months... it means everyone is living well, so please don't worry too much!!! Firmness loosens with time~!!!!! It loosens after 6 months to 1 year~! So everyone, don't worry too much because of scary posts~!~!!!! Just use them as reference!! These kinds of situations can happen too!!! You also have to take good care after removal, so learn your own care method well~~ Let's keep going!!
