I posted last year about the same concern. If you’re curious, please search for it and read it. Last year, I only raised the nasal bridge with silicone. My nose is low and the alar areas are plump, but it’s not a bulbous nose or a large nose. But after the nose surgery, the glabella swelled a lot. They said blood had collected, so I had the blood drained once, but it wasn’t anything like inflammation. I thought all nose surgeries went through that kind of process. When I looked at my side profile, the line from my forehead down to my nose dropped straight down in one flat line. People call it the fish-man Avatar look. You can think of Jang Keun-suk’s side profile. Even after one month, even after two months, the glabella did not get lower. I should have removed the silicone then or done something, but I believed too much that swelling from nose surgery should be waited on for a year. After one year, did the glabella finally come down?? There was a very slight, tiny change, but even after 14 months, my side profile was still Jang Keun-suk. So I decided on revision surgery, and on the 3rd, I had 2 mm Gore-Tex and ear cartilage for the nasal tip. After the surgery, the director said the silicone that had been inserted last time was about 2.8 mm, close to 3 mm, and it had not been inserted high; the reason the glabella looked high was that the capsule that forms after surgery had become thick. What I was most looking forward to with this revision surgery was getting back a normal side profile. But after surgery, when the tape was removed, it looked exactly the same as right after my previous surgery. It has only been 2 days since the tape was removed, but I don’t think this glabellar height will come down just because time passes and the swelling goes down. What I’m really worried about now is whether another thick capsule has formed. If I trust the doctor again and wait, thinking the swelling will go down, but it turns out not to be swelling, then I’ll have to live with a fish-man-like face again. It’s really terrifying. I suffered a lot emotionally for a year. So I told the hospital and asked them to remove it. The hospital says not to remove it. They say if I remove it, the middle will become sunken. That scares me a bit too. What if I become completely ugly? And there’s something I’m curious about. I’m planning to remove only the Gore-Tex and later get filler or something for the sunken area. Then would it be better not to remove any of the ear cartilage?? If I remove only the implant and leave only the nasal tip, will it look very awkward? How soon after implant removal can I get filler? I’m also curious whether contracture happens 100% of the time. Please give me lots of answers. After the surgery on Monday, I’ll leave another review.
