Complete Removal

I made up my mind to have it removed and went to the hospital for a consultation with the director, but he strongly tried to stop me, asking why I would remove it when there was no problem.. Even though I had made up my mind and wavered a bit along the way, I got the complete removal done.

(septal cartilage support + ear cartilage + silicone)

I feel so~~~~ relieved. Really, really relieved.

The director kept telling me to leave the nasal tip alone, but if I had only removed the silicone, I think I would have been racking my brain and worrying every day again..

I had it removed yesterday, and right afterward it was only slightly swollen, but this morning, like in other people's reviews, my nose is chubby haha Still, I’m so happy! Originally, I had a slightly short nose with a natural semi-ski-slope feel, so after lowering the nasal tip and raising the nasal bridge, I felt like I looked older, and I regretted it quite a lot. People around me used to say I had a cute face, but after surgery, my face felt neither here nor there, and I had stress that wasn’t exactly stress..

The decisive thing that gave me more courage at the hospital was that at 3 months, I had also been thinking about removal and took photos to compare, but back then I thought I absolutely should not remove it. The reason was that I looked much prettier.. But then, oddly enough, on the day of the removal surgery, they took photos again and said we should compare them with my pre-surgery photos before deciding.. I thought if I saw the photos, I would be shocked like I was at 3 months, feel bad, maybe want to remove only the silicone, and then go into surgery feeling uncomfortable, so I said I wouldn’t look at the photos. But, as if by some twist of fate, the director went into another surgery, so I ended up looking at the photos with the consultant.. and wow.. The difference was really incredibly subtle... At that moment, I was so happy. Since the change wasn’t that big, I felt like it would return well! Then after finishing the surgery, which took about an hour, I didn’t have the courage to look in the mirror right away, but when I did, the lengthened nose length had returned. It doesn’t seem to have collapsed or anything like that! There is still swelling, so the area between my eyebrows feels a bit like an Avatar, but after removing it, people around me said I had returned a lot to my previous image and looked much better, so maybe thanks to that, I’m happily writing this even now.

I’m adding this because I think some of you may be curious! I didn’t go to a hospital specializing only in removal; I had the removal done at the hospital where I originally had the surgery. The original plan was a repositioning surgery because the silicone was crooked, but I decided on complete removal! It wasn’t an inflammatory reaction or anything like that, but since I had surgery because there was still a problem, there was no separate surgery fee. Oh! And I’m not taking any separate medication! Some people take medication because of concerns about the nose lifting, but maybe I’m just too calm.. it doesn’t look like an upturned nose to me, so I’m not very interested in whether it lifted or not!^^

If anyone is considering removal, let go of your desire for a perfect nose and make up your mind about removal! People definitely say my shape isn’t pretty and that my nose will spread more and get chubbier, but I think that’s something that will get better once the swelling goes down and time passes! As for spreading, I think it will only spread to a certain extent and will probably only be noticeable if I take photos and compare, so I’m trying not to worry too much! There is still a lot of swelling, so I’m not sure yet, but I believe that 6 months later, 1 year later, the day will come when I say I really did the right thing today!
