Nose Re-Surgery@rhino-redo

I had only the silicone removed today

I had silicone on the nasal bridge and septal cartilage at the nasal tip, and I only had the silicone removed. It had been 3 years since the surgery.

I had it done at the hospital where I originally had surgery.

About a month ago, I went in thinking it might be inflammation, but they said nothing was wrong. I went to an ENT clinic and they said it was rhinitis, so I took medicine and got better, but my baby keeps headbutting me, and they said I would have to get revision surgery someday anyway.

Actually... they said my nose had been a little crooked before surgery. Once it was raised (3 mm), it looked even more crooked. But I was scared, so I didn’t get revision surgery right after surgery, and I got fillerㅠㅠ and endured it. Even after that, I took wedding photos with a crooked nose and lived like that for 3 years until now. When I took photos, it showed so much that I lived avoiding taking pictures. Because of this rhinitis + psychological factors, I decided to have it removed.

The removal cost wasㅡㅡ When there were other patients around and I asked during the consultation to remove it, they said they would do it for free, but when I went back, they told me to pay 250,000 won in cashㅡㅡ

So I paid 250,000 won and had only the silicone removed. I was worried that because the septal cartilage would remain, I might end up looking like Pinocchio or develop contour irregularities, but sigh... they said removing the septal cartilage is a major surgeryㅠ So for now, I decided to remove only the silicone.

I was so nervous and scared. I don’t know how I did it 3 years ago. I had read posts here before going, so I roughly knew the order, but I was still nervous. I went in and gave my fingerprint (consent forms...) There was still no explanation of the surgical details haha Even though I arrived before my appointment time, I just waited for 3 hoursㅠ

I went into the operating room, they trimmed my nose hairs, I waited 30 minutes, then got some unknown injection like a hallucinogen (it was like that 3 years ago too, and because of that I had decided I’d never have surgery againㅠㅠ), then I got around 15 local anesthetic injections all over my nose (this hurtsㅠ), and they started right away. The surgery started exactly on the hour according to the radio clock sound. When I opened my eyes and looked at the clock, 15 minutes had passed. They cut the right side of my nose and removed it, and also removed scar tissue in the left side of my nose, so I have stitches in both nostrils.

When I woke up, I couldn’t feel pain because of the anesthesia, but I was dizzy and numb. It doesn’t feel light; it feels heavy and numb~ It’s still like that now. Maybe it’s swollen, but the area between my eyebrows looks higher, and they also put on a splint. There’s no bruising, and they told me to do cold compresses. For now, the nostril shape is better than before, but it’s been 6 hours since surgery and it feels tightㅠ The nasal tipㅠㅠ There was no inflammation, so I’m thinking of it as part of the healing process.

Oh, 2 hours after surgery, I took Tylenol and a runny-nose medicine. As the anesthesia wore off, it stung and hurt, and now it just feels heavy. Still, compared to the first surgery, this much is... ㄷㄷ lol

The nose surgery I impulsively tried for the first time in my life is the biggest regret of my life. I just hope the septal cartilage causes no problems and that there are no contour lines. If my daughter says she wants a nose surgery, I’ll pack lunch and follow her around trying to stop her haha

I just hope it heals wellㅠㅠ I can’t upload photos from my phone... I deliberately looked for old photos and thought, I want to go back to this. I started thinking my original nose was the prettiest.

I hope everyone else stays strong too, and I hope all removal surgeries are successful.
