Hello! It’s already been a month since I had double-jaw surgery, so I’m leaving a review. I first decided to consider double-jaw surgery because my jaw started protruding more and more from my second year of middle school. To be honest, I wasn’t that sensitive about my face, but as people around me often said my impression had changed a lot, at some point I started becoming more conscious of it too. After COVID, I relied on masks a lot and became even more aware of it. At first, I wanted to avoid double-jaw surgery as much as possible, so after the CSAT I started orthodontic treatment first. Orthodontics improved my malocclusion to some extent, but I felt it wasn’t enough for the jawline and overall change in impression I wanted, so I eventually decided to have double-jaw surgery. When looking for a hospital, I searched a lot mainly for oral and maxillofacial surgery clinics in Seoul with good reviews and no safety accidents. The place I chose among them was EU Oral & Maxillofacial Surgery. I liked that the director said they design around the patient rather than just following trends, so I had a consultation, trusted them, and went ahead with double-jaw surgery. Right after the surgery, I was really out of it and dizzy... It was hard because I couldn’t eat either, but now that a month has passed, the swelling has gone down quite a bit and my facial line is settling naturally! More than anything, I’m so satisfied with my side profile hehe. People around me also say my face looks much more refined, so I feel proud. Now I can also take the wafer in and out, so I’m eating foods like porridge and risotto without difficulty, and I can brush my teeth like before, so I’m really happy..! I still have a little ear fullness left, but it doesn’t cause major inconvenience in daily life. Before double-jaw surgery, I had so many worries, but now I think, “I should have done it sooner.” I’m looking forward to how my face will recover more! As of the 1-month mark, I’m really satisfied!
