<Before surgery><Before surgery><After surgery><After surgery>Since I was young, I had a complex about my jaw, and because I had discomfort and limitations in daily life such as unclear pronunciation, I had surgery first for functional purposes, and second with the cosmetic aspect as a priority. The reason I chose EU Oral & Maxillofacial Surgery was that a friend introduced it to me, saying they had double-jaw surgery at EU Oral, which was how I first came across this hospital. After looking up detailed information about the hospital on YouTube, I developed trust in it, made an appointment, and proceeded with surgery. Right after surgery, my whole body felt stiff and I couldn't sleep well, so it was hard, and because of headaches, I went through a frustrating period. Also, compared with other people's reviews, I seemed to have quite severe swelling. After about 3-4 months, swelling still remained, but I became able to eat most foods. After about half a year, there was almost no discomfort in daily life. My friends told me a lot of the swelling had gone down, and because it was a face I saw every day, I didn't feel a huge difference myself, but I could feel that it was gradually getting better. After about 7-9 months, as I lost weight, it felt like my facial contour was settling, and the complex I used to have about my side profile disappeared. I am very satisfied with the surgery both cosmetically and functionally, and I am so satisfied that even if I could go back, I would absolutely do it again. And now, 11 months have passed, I can definitely feel that my jaw length has shortened, and it feels like the sensation that had remained altered before has all returned. Also, because a lot of time has passed, apart from postoperative orthodontic treatment, there are no separate inconveniences or pain that occur in the early period after surgery. Maybe because people are creatures of adaptation, after time passed following surgery, I couldn't remember my pre-surgery face, but when I looked at the pre-surgery photos, ㅋㅋㅋ wow.. I knew it, but I wondered, was my jaw originally protruding this severely? and I wonder how I endured it during my school years. Before surgery, I was extremely self-conscious about showing other people my side profile, and I had many complexes, but now those are gone, so I think I feel much more at ease mentally. It definitely costs a lot and involves a lot of hardship, but even so, if I went back, I would absolutely have surgery again at EU Oral, because for me it was a surgery I needed both functionally and cosmetically, so I am living with great satisfaction!!!
