Double-Jaw Surgery Reviews@jaw-review

1-year review of orthodontic treatment.

My front teeth were a little subtly protruding, so when I looked at my side profile, my mouth seemed a bit forward. Other people didn’t really notice, but I felt it was enough to make it hard to close my lips comfortably, and my two front teeth were big like rabbit teeth, so I definitely wanted to get orthodontic treatment.

I looked into clinics and had only the upper teeth partially corrected, for around 1.3 million won. There were no extra costs after that. Oh, I did have transportation costs...

In the end, my mouth was brought in nicely. As my mouth came in, my nose started to look higher too. Overall, I’m very satisfied.

The downside is... I have to keep the appliance inside forever. They say the appliance can sometimes come loose while eating. But that hasn’t happened yet.

I’m used to it, so I’ve even forgotten I had orthodontic treatment. Though... if I sleep without wearing the plastic partial appliance, the shape seems to change a bit... If I put it back on, it’s fine.

Anyway, I don’t regret it, but... The one thing I’m glad about is that I didn’t touch the lower teeth. If you’re going to get orthodontic treatment.. don’t do both upper and lower.. You’ll really regret it. If possible, do only the upper or only the lower, unless there’s a special reason.

And when it’s time to remove the fixed retainer attached to the outside, make sure you specifically ask for the doctor to do it. The intern or nurse usually does it ㅅㅂ... If they do it wrong, your tooth can crack, so make sure the doctor does it. How well could a nurse really remove it anyway?
