In July last year, I had septal cartilage removal + cartilage repositioning.
As a result, while repositioning it, they raised my nose too much, so the tip of my nose actually became higher than before,
and my nostrils became uneven.
My skin is thin, and since they excessively raised the nasal tip, as you can see, the cartilage is now showing through and protruding...........
I had the surgery because they said they specialized in removals... Ah............
Ah. Of course my nostrils show much more than before too. I asked them to lower my nostrils, but since they raised it that much, of course they show more...
In the end, I think it was a failed surgery.
They said the pointy nasal tip would become rounder, but it actually became even pointier.
If you send me a message, I'll tell you where I had the surgery. Or if you search the posts I've written, you'll probably roughly figure it out.
I'm having surgery in early December at BLM. With Professor JHL...
I just really want this to be the last time... so I'm going to a university hospital....
If even the professor gets it wrong, I feel lost about how I'll live from now on... but I really don't want to go to a plastic surgery clinic anymore.
It seems like they don't think about nasal function and just think it's fine as long as they make the shape look good.
After I had septal cartilage removal and repositioning, my nose actually became more deviated, so my postnasal drip and nasal obstruction became really severe.
I also went to Professor DYS at GDGR, but for me, Professor Jin actually received me more comfortably and kindly.
I've visited him twice so far, and neither time was he blunt.
He answered all my questions and tried to adjust the surgical method for me.. He wasn't cold.
Rather, when he looked at my nose, he sighed and said, how did they raise the nasal tip like this..ㅠㅠㅠㅠ
After touching my nose, he said it seems like some septal cartilage remains. Let's open it up, and if there is enough septal cartilage, use that; if it's insufficient, reinforce it with ear cartilage.
Since your skin is thin, it may show through again, so let's take fascia and place it on the nasal tip.
(At this part, I kept complaining that I really didn't want to use dermis or fascia, and that I also wanted to avoid using ear cartilage if possible,
and he said you need materials to build a house; how can you do it with nothing? He is right, though.............ㅠㅠ)
I printed out my old nose photos, my current nose condition, and a summary of the areas I want improved and took them with me.
I looked at those with the professor and talked about what shape I would like.
The person who gave me the surgery instructions scanned what I printed and put it in my chart.
The surgery fee is enormous, but my mom also said, what is this nose,
and that I went all the way to Seoul because they said they were good, but they actually ruined it more than before,
so she allowed me to have surgery at BLM....
The surgery is soon, and I'm really nervous, anxious, and scared.
I'm afraid a third version of my nose will come out....
I really, please, hope this is the last time... Please...
I really want to stop having surgery. This is my 5th surgery.
I feel like my 20s were all ruined because of my nose, because of wrong surgeries.
Please, please let this be the last time....
When I asked BLM, they said surgeries are now booked out until next August,
so I'm just going to do it this year.
Honestly, even now my work still isn't finished, but I can't wait until next year..
There are less than 2 weeks left until surgery. Sigh
I also received a lot of help from this community, so after surgery, I'll post another review about how it turned out.
For now, my review after removal is like this so far...ㅠㅠ
