Today was day 7, so I went to have the columella stitches and taping removed. They had originally said we should remove the stitches inside my nose after another 3-4 days, but after looking today, the doctor said all the stitches could be removed and disinfected the area and removed them for me.
They said there probably won’t be any shape deformation from now on, and that as the swelling goes down, the height will get a little lower from here.. For those thinking about removal, you have to accept that your nose may become less pretty than a surgically enhanced nose!! lol After taking off the taping and looking in the mirror, from the front, the area where the septal cartilage was removed is still swollen, so it looks a bit spread out. haha From the side, because of the swelling, the height hasn’t gone down completely yet, so there isn’t a huge difference in height compared with my surgically enhanced nose, but I do think it has gotten a little lower haha
The doctor said I don’t need to take any more medication from now on either, except for the antibiotics I took for a week after surgery, and told me to just leave it as it is.. They also showed me photos of the silicone and septal cartilage that were removed during surgery, and ugh.. I can’t believe that was inside my nose.. It looked gross. On the way back in the car, I talked to my nose. "Nose, you went through so much, didn’t you? I’m sorry. I won’t put you through hardship again ㅜ ㅜ"
My nasal tip has gone back to being round, so it definitely looks a bit less refined, and my nose is less pretty, but still, I like it~^^
