I got a lot of help from this community. But there aren't many reviews about Gore-Tex removal, so I'll post mine. It's day 4 since removal. I heard people swell a lot after Gore-Tex removal, but I don't have swelling, and I only have a little bruising on the nasal bridge. It doesn't hurt either. It hasn't been many days yet, but before, when I lay down, I couldn't breathe well, and now that the implant is gone, I can breathe well and feel like I can finally live. I think I'll be really happy once the splint and stitches are removed and I can wash my face. So far I've gone to the hospital twice for disinfection, and I saw my nose shape then. My nose is quite swollen, but I can see my original nose shape, and because it looks natural, I feel like removing it was the right choice.
A contraction phase will probably come, and there's still a long way to go, but the surgery was simpler and lighter? than I expected, so I wrote this hoping it would help those considering Gore-Tex removal. Oh, and I left a little cartilage in the nasal tip. That was the doctor's opinion, so I did it that way. My previous nose surgery used osteotomy, Gore-Tex, and ear cartilage. There was no inflammation. I had it removed 6 months after surgery. My original nose was high, and it wasn't a hooked nose; I got greedy while having surgery for deviated septum. Since something that wasn't originally in my nose was there, I felt too anxious mentally, so I had it removed. Anyway, Gore-Tex removal isn't as painful or difficult as you might think, so if you've decided to remove it, go ahead and do it. I won't answer which hospital did the surgery.
