Day 7 after cheekbone + long-curve square jaw surgery

Exactly 3 months after my successful rhinoplasty, I also had contouring surgery I was worried a lot at first, but with the mindset of, it’s not like I’m going to die, I scheduled the date as soon as possible, and now it’s been exactly one week since surgery

Day of surgery

When I woke up, the surgery was all over, and it was my first time under general anesthesia. After waking from anesthesia, my throat hurt so much and I felt so nauseous. I really wanted to drink water, but they wouldn’t give me any because they said I might vomit, so I just pretended to go to the bathroom and secretly drank some by myself, but I didn’t throw up. It was my first time realizing that throat pain could be this painful The pain gradually got worse as I woke up from anesthesia, and at night it really reached its peak. Maybe because I slept a bit too long during the day, I couldn’t sleep at all at night and waited until morning while groaning in pain..

The day after surgery The doctor removed the facial bandage and I was discharged with some simple precautions. There was pain inside my mouth, I had no sensation at all around my jaw, and I couldn’t open my mouth either. As soon as I got home, I spent time eating soy milk and porridge for meals. It still hurt so much, and all I could think was that I shouldn’t have had the surgery (I don’t think there is any cheekbone surgery pain at all. Maybe it’s just me..)

Days 3-4 after surgery I get vicarious satisfaction by watching mukbangs. The pain inside my mouth continues. I didn’t even crave porridge, and lived on only soy milk. I quickly lost as much as 2 kg. For swelling, from day 2 you can basically think of the face as being square. My face was in such a state that I really couldn’t tell where my own face was. Then, day by day, when I look in the mirror in the morning, I can see the swelling going down little by little.

Days 5-6 after surgery Being only at home was so frustrating that I walked around near my house and played games at a PC cafe I normally don’t go to, praying for time to pass quickly. That’s how slowly time goes... The pain has gotten much better, but I’m still so frustrated and angry that I can’t eat the foods I want. Again, I spend mukbang time together with Banzz like this

Day 7 after surgery In 2 hours, I’m going to have the stitches on the cheekbone area removed They say the stitches inside my mouth are dissolvable, so they won’t remove them Most of the major swelling has gone down, but my face still feels puffy. I hope time passes quickly

I’ll post another review soon
