One-week review of V-line surgery (square jaw, chin advancement)

Hello. I'm a 24-year-old man. I mostly just lurk, but I'm leaving a post as a surgery review and to ask a few things I'm curious about. On the first day of surgery, general anesthesia started. They put an injection in my left arm, and I felt my whole body suddenly get all tingly. Then the male doctor said, “You'll go to sleep,” and then it disappeared from my memory. After I woke up, I was moved to the bedroom. I had a blood drain tube attached, and I didn't feel nauseous, but my throat hurt so much. And I really regretted it, thinking, why did I have surgery, I should have just lived with the way I looked. And the facial compression band.. I'm sensitive, so I couldn't wear it. So on the day of surgery, I took the compression band off right away. Even now, one week later, I haven't worn the compression band at all. Could this be a problem? The director and nurses said I didn't have to wear the compression band, but I'm worried. Also, since I had been fasting since 8 the previous evening, I was worried that my stomach might feel bad because I was hungry, but maybe they gave me glucose, because I didn't have that kind of suffering. The sore throat lasted until about day two. On the second day after surgery, they removed the blood drain tube. Before removal, I had sensation in my lower jaw and lower lip, but after the blood drain tube was removed, I couldn't feel sensation. It hurt quite a lot when they took it out too. Is this okay?? I'm so worried. Even now, at one week post-op, I still have no sensation in my lower lip and lower jaw. The swelling seemed to continue until day 4. I kept getting up to walk, sat upright, ate pumpkin porridge morning, lunch, and dinner, did not drink pumpkin juice, did ice packs, and started warm compresses yesterday. Today, at one week, to my eyes I look similar to before surgery. Not being able to chew and not being able to brush my teeth are really so painful. At one week, I'm only using mouthwash I bought at the pharmacy. Also, there isn't much pain. Other than when I open my mouth, make an “oo” shape with my lips, and smile, there's no pain. Inside my mouth, they used dissolvable sutures, and today I asked the consultant because I was curious. They said since the sutures inside the mouth are dissolvable, they don't remove them separately. They also said I can brush my teeth if I do it gently so it doesn't touch the wound area, so from today I'm thinking of trying regular food, jjajangmyeon, etc. Would that be possible? I'm scared something serious might happen. Please let me know!
