It has been over 6 months since I had facial contouring. I had rotational contouring/shaving of the chin tip.
Most of the swelling has gone down, and I’m still adjusting.
Difficulties after surgery (I think some parts are inevitable to a certain extent rather than side effects...)
1. Double chin As my chin tip got shorter, my double chin became extremely severe.
2. Cheek sagging The hospital said there would be no cheek sagging from the chin tip, but no. Should I say my jawline collapsed? It sagged a bit like a bulldog.
3. The connection between the chin and neck looks unnatural Because of this, the double chin looks even more emphasized. The chin tip and neck do not connect naturally, and the double chin protrudes like the shape of a speed bump?
4. Clumping at the chin tip This is the most serious. The chin tip is hard and clumped, so it’s a little difficult to pronounce words, and my mouth shape looks very unnatural.
5. Pebble chin Maybe because the chin muscle was stimulated, when I put force into my chin, the pebble-chin muscle bulges up almost like the size of a Kancho snack. I did not have this symptom before surgery.
6. Tingling in the gums My lower gums tingle every time I brush my teeth. It’s not uncomfortable to that extent.
7. A puckered, collapsed-looking mouth shape when my mouth is closed It is just as written. It looks very bad, so I am even considering reconstruction.
I spent a lot of money on surgery and went through a long recovery period, but what remains in the end is another appearance concern, so it’s really difficult. I’m really envious of people whose surgery went well, but for those who are still considering surgery, please think very carefully.
If anyone knows the cost of chin-tip reconstruction at ㅇㅇㅊ Plastic Surgery, please let me know..
