Nose Re-Surgery@rhino-redo

Photos deleted) Day 55 after removal of nasal silicone, septal cartilage, and mesh

** I will not reply to comments or DMs about what I wrote in my previous post-!! (Almost all the information is in the post I wrote before.)

* For professional answers, I recommend hearing opinions through consultations at several clinics.

* The runny-nose-looking thing in the photos is scar ointment lololol (Please refer to my previous post for photos before removal.)

The fact that I come into this community noticeably less often means I am paying less attention to my nose, right? I have come in from time to time, but I saw that there are still many people who, like me a few months ago, are anxious and afraid about many things before removal, and people who are not satisfied after removal, so I am leaving my last(? review in the hope that it helps even a little. (I do not think I will come in for a while @.@) Tomorrow will be day 56, week 8. Right after removal, I wondered if time would even pass, whether 2020 would really come, and I just wished time would pass quickly so the contraction phase would end, but I am already at two months lololol. First of all, I did not really feel the contraction phase much, and I still do not know. I have a good eye for detail and I am sensitive to certain sensations. When I wrote my day-25 review, I occasionally felt, ah, this must be the pulling sensation other people talk about, but these days I do not even have that feeling. My nose does feel very slightly shorter, but that does not mean it has turned upward. It seems to be passing uneventfully without any major problems. The front view and nostrils seem to have returned almost similar to my natural nose, and the side view actually seems better now. People I know also said it looks better now haha. After the splint was removed, a little of the saddle-nose area remained, so I was very stressed, worrying it might collapse more from there. But when I look at photos from then now, it is not very noticeable, and I think maybe I was being a bit sensitive by myself lololol. At present, on some days the contour looks smooth, and on other days it shows a bit again. I think my nose is still recovering. I am taking one Rizaben tablet three times a day. Since I had mesh, they said my scar tissue might be firmer than in people who did not have mesh and suggested taking it for one more month, so I finished that month’s supply and took it until day 13. I wonder if I will be done after taking it for 17 more days.. If the clinic says to take more, I guess I should ㅠㅠ Side effects from Rizaben at first were constipation + itchy skin and redness. After resting for 3 days and taking it again, it got better, but my hair is falling out quite a lot.. I am not sure whether it is a Rizaben side effect, but compared with before, a lot more hair is falling out. My nose is still hard, but it does not bother me much. I still cannot make a pig nose, and it is hard. Maybe because I lived with a hard nose for a year and a half before removal, I do not really feel discomfort or aversion to the hardness. How many times do you make a pig nose in daily life anyway~~ It will loosen up someday~~ I live with that thought lolol. I sometimes see people complaining of discomfort after removal because of nasal hardness and pulling in the philtrum. I also had discomfort making facial expressions and around the philtrum until before one month, so I asked, and they said that since the nose is firm, of course the philtrum can feel uncomfortable, and that it would become more comfortable once the firmness loosens. Compared with then, mine is less hard now, and my philtrum is free now(? lolololol. Some days my nose is hard, and some days it is a little soft, and I think this is also part of the recovery process. When it feels too hard, gently kneading the nasal alar area helps it loosen a bit.

Before removal, I agonized for 3 months between two clinics. Because it had to be my last surgery. Even two days before surgery, I received a DM from someone who had surgery at one of those two clinics and did not do well, saying not to do it there, that they had no skill, and I cried a lot. I roughly know what that person’s situation was, but I had kept feeling drawn to this clinic and made my final decision, so receiving that kind of DM two days before surgery made me so depressed.. So I even thought about postponing the surgery, canceling it, or just living like this. Of course, I know the person who sent the DM said it out of concern. When deciding on a clinic, consultations and reviews matter the most. Recent reviews in this community are important, but as someone who read all the way to the last page, what I felt was that I even wondered when the so-called “big three” started, and all the clinics called the big three had similar numbers of satisfied/dissatisfied reviews. I chose the clinic that suited me best and had the same direction I was pursuing, and I trusted my decision. I also had no choice but to do that. I could not ask someone else to choose the clinic for me, and my parents could not drag me there saying, do it here :) My major goals were improvement of a crooked nasal bridge and nostril asymmetry from the front view, and breathing through both nostrils, and all of them improved. If I put it in percentages, I am 80% satisfied *.* When I ask about discomfort or things I am curious about, the consultant calls me and explains well, and also asks what my nose is like now. When I was frustrated because I could not pick my nose, they said that if I visited the clinic, they would disinfect the inside of my nose and that I could come anytime..ㅠㅠ They have never once acted bothered. They told me to visit once more at the 3-month or 6-month mark, so I plan to go one more time. I do not think everyone needs to have huge fear about removal. But do not decide in a rush either-!
