Today is day 3 after removal, and the swelling has gone down more than yesterday. I was supposed to visit the hospital the day after surgery, but I had surgery on Saturday and Sunday was their day off, so I went to the hospital today. They were going to drain the blood pooled in my nose, but there wasn't as much pooled blood as expected, so they didn't drain any blood. The director personally removed all the blood scabs, mucus, and foreign matter from my nose and applied medication. When I showed pain here and there, he said, "Oh dear, does it hurt a lot?" and also taught me how to care for the wound on my nose.
And after surgery, I showed him a photo I had taken right away when there wasn't much swelling and asked, "If the swelling goes down now, will it look like this? What should I do because it looks so wide and flat?" He said no, that it was probably swelling, and that swelling starts after suturing, so as the swelling goes down, the nose shape will gradually change. He reassured me that when he refined the hump, the wider-looking nose was actually quite okay in its own way.. After visiting the hospital, I asked the director one by one about everything I was anxious about, and he wasn't annoyed at all and explained calmly, so the depression I had been feeling got a lot better. After the director finished disinfecting everything and applying medication, the manager gave me a swelling laser treatment. There are really many hospitals where the attitude turns cold once you have surgery, but everyone at this hospital is kind, so I feel like my emotionally exhausted heart is being comforted even a little.. Oh, and my nose had been quite asymmetrical since my original nose, but on day 3, when I looked at the nostril shape, I was surprised looking in the mirror because he had matched both nostril shapes so beautifully and similarly. I will really take good care of it and post another review next time. I'll upload the photos as original nose / surgical nose / front and side views on day 3 after removal.
