My teeth became evenly aligned, which is of course great, and I don't think I had any particular side effects. But it hurt a lot at first, and eating was uncomfortable. My oral structure used to protrude a bit, but after the orthodontic treatment it seems to have improved clearly. I regret not getting it done when I was younger.
