Review 10 days after double-jaw surgery

Hello.. it’s been 10 days since I had double-jaw surgery~ Two years ago, because of facial asymmetry and a protruding mouth, I had facial contouring and orthodontic treatment, but the improvement was minimal. Instead, my midface looked even longer, so it was stressful that people saw me as older than my age. Should I just live like this.. could there be another method.. After thinking so much like that, I did legwork through all kinds of communities, cafes, and even university hospitals, and decided to look into it in detail. I saw posts saying to go to an oral and maxillofacial surgeon or to a university hospital, and I think I went to about 8 hospitals. As much as that, I learned more and also got more scaredㅠ I kept comparing hospitals, and I think I checked everything: the director’s experience, surgical method, surgery time, and even my psychological stateㅠㅠ Since it was a major surgery, I was sensitive and thought about it more and did more legwork.. ha..ㅜ I think that was the hardest part. Finally I chose a hospital and set the surgery date. I had internal medicine tests, impressions taken, and various first-visit tests, and then just waited for the surgery day. For the day of surgery, I brought a donut cushion, neck pillow, cotton swabs, Vaseline, wet wipes, paper cups, power bank, and wore zip-up clothes!! At 10:30, I was so nervous.. I asked the director a barrage of questions, then eventually gave up, moved to the operating room, and lay down. They inserted the IV, the medication went in, I fell asleep, and when I woke up I was in the recovery room.. The nurses came and told me to breathe out deeply and expel the gas, and I was sleepy but I could hear them loudly saying, “Spit it out,” so I came to my senses and worked hard to spit it out!! Heat sensation and swelling in my face, stinging in my throat, and as time passed my nose got blocked, so I used Otrivin to open my noseㅜ.ㅜ Four hours later I drank water and relieved the stinging. I kept receiving pain-control injection, antibiotics, and swelling injections in my arm! (through the IV) Hmm.. if there’s a difference from facial contouring, it’s that the nose gets blocked like rhinitis and it swells more!! Day 2: I slept well. Even without the nurses taking care of me, I went back and forth to the bathroom by myself. They said they would remove the blood drains from both cheeks, and whether because of the pain-control injection or the swelling, it didn’t hurt when they removed them; I actually felt refreshed. The nurse brought me New Care and soy milk, and also gave me a swelling injection. Just sitting made me stiff, so I asked if I could walk up and down the hallway. They said it was okay, so I walked slowly back and forth where the nurse could see me, looking far ahead, and after releasing gas I felt much better ㅠㅠ Day 3: In the morning, I didn’t want to have New Care or soy milk, so shamelessly I asked if there was anything else, and the nurse ㅠㅠ gave me her own apple juice, aww.. thank you. Anyway, I drank it, had X-rays taken, listened to the precautions, and was discharged. For reference, swelling peaks on days 3 to 5ㅠㅠ Today is day 10. It feels rewarding that I’ve been taking my swelling medication and pumpkin juice well and going on walks too. There is still swelling left, but I can noticeably feel that my midface has shortened. For the asymmetry, when I bite down, the dental midline lines up, which is amazing. I hope the rest of the swelling goes down quickly and I want to eat delicious food too haha
