I went for a consultation about removing the nasal implant after a revision surgery had gone wrong. When I asked whether I could return to my original nose, he said I could probably recover about 70 percent of it, but that making the remaining 30 percent into the start of a new problem would be the beginning of unhappiness. He said he couldn't promise the remaining 30 percent. I wanted the nose to become a bit lower as long as it didn't get lifted, but if it was lifted and I needed another revision surgery with added ear cartilage, there would be an additional cost. Still, he listened while writing down all the problems I mentioned, but because I also can't breathe properly now, he didn't make any promises about whether my breathing would improve after removal. It felt like a somewhat defensive consultation Even after removal, I just want the nostrils not to be uneven, and I want no saddle nose or feeling of it being lifted, but it has only been five months since my revision, so I'm still debating.
