10 years ago, when I didn't know anything, I had surgery in my neighborhood with 3 mm L-shaped silicone and ear cartilage for the nasal tip. I had been living without any problems, but recently it seemed like my nasal tip was lifting, so I went for consultations. Out of 6 places, three said it was contracture and three said it wasn't, so I just didn't want to worry about it and got everything removed. I also only found out during these consultations that it was L-shaped silicone.. Until now I thought it was straight silicone haha My original nose had no nasal bridge, and the nasal tip was just completely round.. I thought I would feel a big sense of loss after removing the implant, so I had nasal tip cartilage tying done, but they said that while repositioning the cartilage, they would be tying it anyway. I asked a lot of things, and the director's consultation was kind. The manager is a bit blunt in style, but if you ask, they answer everything. I was worried their attitude might completely change after surgery, but the director was kind even afterward. I checked the removed silicone and capsule, and they reassured me that the surgery went well. I worry a lot and had gone alone, so I was very nervous. The surgery was done under sedation anesthesia, and because I was staggering, the manager even brought me water, so I calmed down and took a taxi home.
On the first day there wasn't much swelling, but even with the splint on I could see that the nasal tip had come down. From the second day, I looked like an Avatar, and I couldn't even open my eyes lol. It kept aching, and I continuously felt tightness in the nasal tip and a lifting sensation, so I think I looked in the mirror every hour haha. I had seen bad posts about this plastic surgery clinic, so I spent the time feeling anxious..ㅜ On the third day the swelling went down a bit, and on the fourth day I had the splint removed. What surprised me after taking off the splint was that my nasal tip had become so pretty.. All my worries from before subsided. It was prettier than my surgery nose, and the nasal tip that had lifted came down appropriately, so when seen from the front, my nostrils were covered a lot more. The nasal bridge and glabella were too swollen to check, though lol. The nostrils and nasal tip symmetry also seem to have been matched a little better, and because the swelling is still severe, from the side my nasal bridge is higher than my surgery nose, but the line is prettier. I know this is all swelling, but all I can think is that I hope it doesn't go down too much. I got the splint removed yesterday, so I still look like an Avatar and have bruising, but I'm getting through it positively. I hope the line settles beautifully like this. My original nose was so unattractive that my mom even tried to stop me from removing it, but I feel like it will turn out prettier than my original nose haha They say it's still hard to predict the line, and that I can know for sure only after the contraction period passes.
I had surgery in Hongdae with a closed approach under sedation anesthesia. I had the splint removed yesterday, and the stitches have not been removed yet. Before, it was really hard, but now I wonder, was my nose this soft? lol
