I received revision rhinoplasty from Director Kim Jin-woo at Jeonjeon Huhu. (implant-free, lowering of the nasal tip)
For my first surgery, I went in because my nasal congestion was usually so severe that I wanted surgery for a deviated septum, but somehow ended up also getting cosmetic rhinoplasty (correction of a drooping nose). From the consultation to the surgical result and post-op care, everything was the worst.
At the final consultation before surgery, I repeatedly emphasized that I wanted a natural-looking nose and showed several photos of the nose shape I wanted, but I felt like the consultation was done carelessly. The result was that the nasal tip was raised too much, so my nostrils showed too much, it looked unnatural like Pinocchio, and it became a feminine-looking nose with the impression of a short nose.
The hospital responded in a way that made me so angry, saying it turned out fine, that there was nothing wrong with the surgery, and that they didn’t understand why I thought it was strange. They said it would get better over time, but as I expected, the nasal tip did not come down as much as I thought it would, and I spent the worst 6 months.
I was extremely angry at the hospital where I had the previous surgery, but while regretting that I had taken an important surgery too lightly and had not properly researched the hospital, I carefully narrowed down hospitals for revision surgery through YouTube, blogs, and so on. I finally chose 3 places for consultations, and ultimately decided to have the surgery with Director Kim Jin-woo at K Plus.
1. First consultation Unlike the previous hospital, Director Kim Jin-woo conducted the consultation very thoroughly and attentively, and above all, he accurately understood the complexes I was feeling now and my needs regarding the nose shape I wanted after surgery.
2. Preoperative consultation Even at the final consultation before surgery, he carefully checked again the nose shape I wanted, and even right before entering the operating room he asked me to show again the photos of the nose shape I wanted, showing that he intended to understand my needs before performing the surgery.
3. 1-2 weeks after surgery The swelling was definitely less than during my first surgery, and I recovered quickly. After 1 week, I saw the surgical result for the first time and was very satisfied. The nasal tip had been lowered appropriately so my nostrils did not show much, and the previous complex of a Pinocchio-like, feminine, unnatural-looking nose disappeared, resulting in a natural and masculine nose shape.
4. 1 month after surgery My recovery speed after surgery was also very fast, and from week 2 I was living a natural daily life. The surgical result was also natural, so people who had seen my nose after the first surgery said the revision surgery turned out very well, and people I saw after a long time didn’t even know I had nose surgery. As a result, I got the natural nose I wanted, so my satisfaction is very high.
