I have many previous posts, so please look at them if you’re curious.
Having the septal support removed through an open approach really makes the contraction period last a long time. Especially when I drink alcohol, why does my nose get so small ㅠ And the pulling sensation inside my nose too... It gets worse when I’m exposed to air conditioner wind. It pulls even if I smell cigarette smoke while passing by, and it pulls even if I smell mosquito coil smoke. I feel so overly fragile... I wonder when it will get back to normal.
Still, my nasal function is definitely improving. Now, that heavy feeling only on one side of my nose is not really noticeable when I’m standing. When I lie down, it’s a bit like that, but tolerable. It would have been a disaster if I had done rhinitis surgery first. I kept postponing rhinitis surgery because I was scared, but if I had done it, really... something scary could have happened.
Because of abnormal cartilage manipulation, the width of one nostril became narrow and the width of the other nostril became too wide, so I developed paradoxical nasal obstruction, empty nose syndrome, where the side that became too wide felt blocked. Simply put, a narrow straw is easy to suck through, but a wide straw is hard to suck through, right? They call that empty nose.
My nose aches and feels like it is flaring, and maybe the cartilage is finding its place again, because the side that was narrow has become a little wider, and the side that was wide is getting narrower. It’s hard to explain in writing. Anyway, I can feel the cartilage moving, and my nose changes every month, and I can see it with my eyes. It really keeps changing very slowly.
My nose at 3 months, 4 months, 5 months, and now are all different.
Ha, I really hope the contraction period ends.
