As of today, it's exactly 2 months since removal. Time really flies. I can't believe it's already been two months-
The photos are current. I was going to upload comparison photos from before removal and one week after removal, but I deleted all my old photosㅠ
First of all, more than anything, I feel really, really relieved. I felt this right after surgery too, but I'm realizing all over again that a natural nose feels this light lol
Since the silicone had been placed quite high in the glabella, I do feel a sense of loss. (Please refer to my previous post for the silicone height and detailed information) But I decided to remove it while accepting that it would get lower, so it isn't to the point where I want to have surgery again or feel that much loss. And friends I saw after a long time, as well as people I see often, all didn't know what had changed. I thought, as expected, other people really aren't that interested in my nose lol
My family also said it doesn't look that different, so why did I go through the trouble of surgery, putting it in and taking it out lol (though they did say the glabella is a bit goneㅠ lol) I'm just thinking of it as having rented a high nose well for 7 years and returned it (joking). When I think about the times I couldn't sleep from worries about side effects, pressure, and foreign body sensation, it's still awfulㅠㅠ But now that time has passed, I can even joke about it.
When I read reviews from people who are 6 months to over 1 year after removal, they say the nasal bridge may get lower than now or there may be subtle changes in shape, so I'm still preparing myself mentally. At the one-month follow-up, the clinic said I could think of the shape and height as both being about 90% settled.
As I see it now, it seems very, very slightly higher than my original nose, and the nasal tip and shape seem like my original nose + surgically altered nose. Please take this as reference if you're worried about feeling a sense of loss.
Getting lower is something you definitely have to accept, but the comfort and relief really can't be expressed in words :) I'm especially grateful that I can now live without worrying about side effectsㅠ
Oh, and I was very worried about the contraction phase, but thankfully it seems to be passing well. Even though I'm very, very sensitive, other than an occasional slightly itchy feeling(?) on the nasal bridge, I don't have any pulling or hardening sensation.
I'll graduate from this community for a while now, and come back later to leave a 1-2 year removal review. I hope everyone has a safe and successful removal!
