I paid the reservation deposit and even set a surgery date, but after reading the posts here before surgery, I saw many posts saying septal extension grafting is extremely uncomfortable for the nose... I thought if I just kept checking around and picked a hospital with good plastic surgery outcomes and no bad reviews, then that would be enough, so I only had consultations at five places and chose one, but now it feels like I’m back to square one.. The hospital I booked with has an otolaryngology specialist. The planned method is silicone dorsum + septal extension grafting for the tip, with ear cartilage used if needed, and he is a surgeon who does not use the tip/skeletal support strut method... I probably should do more legwork and visit more clinics, right...? ㅋㅂㅈ랑, I’m also thinking about getting a consultation with... too. If there are people in this community who regret getting septal extension grafting, could you send me a detailed message? The downside is that it can look hard and the dorsum can appear crooked, right...? On the other hand, it can rise more firmly than the support method, right..? My nose is on the short side of normal, with no defined nasal bridge and almost no tip definition, and I don’t want to be greedy—I just want to raise it very slightly. If only the overall nose shape is improved, I’d honestly be satisfied with just a natural change: just reducing the nostril flare, replacing the dorsal silicone (actually keeping the current tip projection since this is a revision), and tying/suturing the tip cartilages... I’d really appreciate comments from everyone with similar cases or who have gone through this decision before By the way, at the first surgery it was mostly a non-open approach with silicone placed and slight AlloDerm filling at the tip, so calling it a revision is kind of debatable..
