About 8 months ago, I had functional + cosmetic surgery together.
I had consultations at three clinics, and after considering the price, consultation details, and everything else, I decided on one clinic.
Because I had nasal valve stenosis and a deviated septum, I was able to receive reimbursement through indemnity insurance, so I could get it done much more affordably.
For surgery, I had bulbous nose surgery, a silicone implant, surgery for deviated septum, and nasal valve stenosis surgery.
Originally, I wanted to use my own cartilage, but after hearing about the advantages of customized silicone, I decided on silicone.
In conclusion, I’m very satisfied. In the early period after surgery, it was really tough.. Until I got the medicated sutures removed, my quality of life was really low, but around the one-month mark, I could really feel the benefits.
The aesthetic improvement goes without saying. I’ve heard all kinds of things like “you got handsome,” “who are you? lol,” and “Korean hot guy” lol
I’m also very satisfied with the functional improvement. I usually couldn’t smell well because of rhinitis. I didn’t know what people meant by the smell of rain, and I didn’t really understand when people said everyone has a different scent, but now I know what they mean. Also, since the surgery, my nose has not been blocked even once!! I think this really was the problem.
I am a bit worried about when side effects might appear, but for now, it’s one of the decisions I’m happiest with in my life. It’s embarrassing, but for a month or two, I think I stared at the mirror for 30 minutes after coming home from work lol
