I knew nothing, but an acquaintance had a good surgical result, so I went there too. The result was a complete disaster; I guess the silicone did not suit me. I live outside the city, and at first yellow discharge kept coming from my nose, which was when I felt something was wrong. It had not even been a month, but I lived constantly wiping it with cotton swabs. When I went for a follow-up, they prescribed antibiotics and gave me antibiotic injections, but there was no improvement. The area where the silicone was inserted even became crooked. When I told the doctor, he said it had always been crooked and that it was fine. I am certain they made it more crooked than my original nose, and my boyfriend and mother also said it was crooked. Anyway, I traveled back and forth by train from outside the city, spending a lot on transportation, probably four or five times. As my entire nose and bridge kept swelling badly, they drained the inflammation with something like a 10 cc syringe, then said it would not work and that the implant should be removed. I lay down in the operating room to have the nose implant removed before even three months had passed. They made it more crooked than my original nose, and after removal my nose is almost shaved down. It became so low that silicone cannot be inserted, and I am depressed… I am also looking into closed rhinoplasty, but since it is a relatively new procedure, I am worried about side effects and still undecided.
