Almost 1 Year Since Finishing Orthodontic Treatment

My teeth had a somewhat unusual structure. I was born missing one tooth, so I should have had a total of 4 upper front teeth, but I only had 3, which made my mouth look slightly shifted. After thinking it over, I decided to get braces and started with a consultation. They carefully explained from the beginning what method we would use for the orthodontic treatment. Since there wasn’t much space inside my mouth, we decided to proceed with extraction orthodontics, and I had a total of 3 upper teeth extracted (including wisdom teeth) and a total of 4 lower teeth extracted (including wisdom teeth). My wisdom teeth were impacted because they were growing while pushing sideways, but they were all extracted.

And I think the dental clinic needs to be reasonably close to home. Sometimes the braces would suddenly come off just while eating, and there were times when I had to rush to the dentist for unexpected reasons. Oh, and while having braces, a Waterpik was really essential. Even after finishing orthodontic treatment, I liked that feeling so much that I’m still using it now.

Even in the final stage of treatment, I wanted to get the braces off quickly, but they checked meticulously, putting floss through each space one by one, saying let’s just do a few more weeks, and I was satisfied because they checked everything thoroughly without missing any gaps. After finishing orthodontic treatment, they also gave me clear retainers and told me to keep wearing them. Honestly, it’s pretty annoying, but I’m wearing them diligently so my teeth don’t move back.
