Double-Jaw Surgery Reviews

I looked into revision contouring, but in the end jaw surgery was the right surgery for me

Hello, it's been 2 months since I had double jaw surgery with Dr. Kim Jong-yoon at Yui Oral and Maxillofacial Hospital! Before surgery, I kept wondering when the 2 months would finally come, and now I've already returned to work and am living as usual After going to work for the first time in a while, the thing I heard most from people around me was that I looked prettier. I also heard a lot that I looked younger and that my overall impression seemed much softer, and quite a few people even asked where I had the surgery and wanted the hospital info, so these days I've been feeling weirdly happy I had a long-standing complex about my underbite and facial asymmetry for more than 10 years, since middle school. Especially since my side profile bothered me more than my front view, I would look for angles that made my chin appear less prominent whenever I took photos, so taking pictures naturally became difficult. I had contouring surgery in the past because of these concerns, but because the part that stressed me out most was the underbite feeling of a chin jutting forward, contouring obviously didn't make a big difference As time passed, I came to think that in my case I needed to look at the position of the jaw bone itself rather than only the facial contour, and after consultations at several places, I decided on double jaw surgery! When I was looking for a hospital, since it was a surgery that dealt with the jaw bone and bite together, I put importance on function and safety, so I mainly looked into oral and maxillofacial surgery. Also, rather than wanting my face to change so dramatically that it looked like a completely different person, I wanted the parts that had bothered me, like the underbite and asymmetry, to be improved naturally while keeping the original feel of my face!! When I consulted at Yui Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery, Dr. Kim Jong-yoon explained my condition and the surgical direction without exaggeration, and it felt like he was talking about what was needed for my face rather than trying to create a huge change no matter what, so it matched the direction I had in mind very well. That's why, after thinking it through enough, I decided to have the surgery I'm 2 months out now, and more swelling has gone down than I expected, so I still find myself amazed every time I take photos!!! I had pretty severe facial asymmetry before, but even at 2 months, I can see that things are much more organized than before, so I'm satisfied! They say there's still more swelling to go, so I'm going to keep watching as my face settles more naturally over time More than anything, what I like most right now is that the feel of my face before surgery is still there, while only the parts I'd worried about for a long time have been improved naturally!!! I was also worried that double jaw surgery would change my face too much, but seeing myself now, my original impression is still there, while the overall facial line looks much softer and more balanced, which I really like I wanted a natural change where, at first glance, it would feel like I somehow became prettier but not like surgery made me look completely different. It seems to have come out exactly in the direction I wanted, so I'm really satisfied!!!! Before, whenever I uploaded photos, I almost always had to edit them in Photoshop to reduce the lower face, but these days I don't need to do that, which is surprisingly nice too I used to notice the chin first in every photo and worry about angles, and just having that stress reduced has given me a lot more confidence!! Today, while taking photos for this review, I compared them with the photos from 3 weeks post-op, and it was obvious that the current version looks much more natural, so I kept looking at them over and over!! I'm still only 2 months out from double jaw surgery, so there is still more swelling to go down and more settling ahead, but so far I'm living with a lot of satisfaction. These days, every time I look in the mirror, I think I should have done this sooner, and I'm looking forward to seeing how my face becomes even more natural as time passes!
