Since I was young, I had severe malocclusion, and because I left it untreated for a long time without proper orthodontic treatment, by the time I was in middle school I was diagnosed as impossible to treat with braces alone and in need of surgery. Ever since then I vaguely thought I would have to get surgery someday, but as I became an adult and started wanting to do more and more things, I began to seriously consider it. I'm the kind of person who doesn't usually wear makeup and just lives as I am, but without realizing it I kept thinking, 'I should wear this outfit after surgery,' and 'I should take photos like this after surgery,' and I found myself looking forward to it. Deep down, I think my malocclusion was a complex for me. I chose the hospital without really doing any comparison shopping because I heard that my younger sibling's friend had surgery at Yangyundol last year and got a satisfying result. It was truly a decision I don't regret at all I was scared of lots of small things before and after surgery, and there were many things at Yangyundol that I didn't have to deal with. I'm so glad they didn't use a blood drain and that the antibiotic test was done after anesthesia while I wasn't conscious. That was the part I was most scared of, more than the surgery itself... And even during recovery after the surgery, the room was so comfortable and I wasn't in pain, which was amazing. (I didn't even get a pain pump!) The doctors on duty were so kind and encouraging, and I'm still very grateful. During recovery, I prefer not being tied down completely and just waiting to heal, but rather being tied a reasonable amount, eating what I can, and recovering that way, and Yangyundol's approach was exactly like that, which suited me very well. Thanks to that, I think I got through the recovery period healthy and without pain, unlike others who even collapse from malnutrition. Now, a little over a month after surgery, there is still a lot of swelling, but my facial shape itself has changed dramatically. Especially the side profile and the side view!! The chin that used to protrude has tucked in, so my face shape is really different from before. My cheeks are still puffy though Since my chin movement was large, I do have a small concern under the chin because of leftover tissue or skin, but even taking that into account, the result has made my impression much better, so I am really satisfied. I had less hardship than others, and considering I spent more than 10 years being scared, I think it was a surgery where I gained much more than I lost. I also lost a lot of weight for the first time in years, which is nice If you have a functionally necessary surgery but are hesitating because you're scared, I think it's worth closing your eyes and going for it. Let's go, people with malocclusion!!
