Double-Jaw Surgery Reviews

Jaw surgery and contouring felt like hell for the first month, but now it’s heaven haha

Hello! Before surgery, I couldn’t really imagine what I would look like 8 months later, but now that orthodontic treatment is finished too, it really feels like I’ve completed one long process haha I had combined double-jaw surgery and contouring surgery at IYU Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery / Dr. Kim Jong-yun! I originally had a severe malocclusion, so I often had pain in my molars, and as my jaw kept growing, I was under a lot of stress about my appearance too In the end I started looking into double-jaw surgery, and while searching for a hospital that specialized in it, I first came across IYU Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery through blogs and Q&A sites! After that, I kept reading various reviews on cosmetic surgery apps and forums, and thought this might be a place where I could trust them enough to go for a consultation, so I chose it! Now it’s been 8 months, and last month at the 7-month mark, I finally finished the orthodontic treatment that felt like the last step of double-jaw surgery Once the braces were removed, my mouth shape felt much more natural than before, and even when I looked in the mirror and smiled wide, there was almost no awkward feeling anymore! People around me also kept saying that it doesn’t look like I had surgery anymore and that I look more natural, which made me so happy! Now, about a month after finishing orthodontics, at the 8-month mark, I’ve gotten much more used to my face and teeth. The awkwardness and discomfort I used to feel inside my mouth are almost gone, and my bite feels stable when I eat, so daily life has become much easier. Thinking about everything from the surgery to the orthodontics, it was quite a long time, but as I went through each step, before I knew it everything was over In particular, the jaw joint pain and the stress from the malocclusion that had kept bothering me before surgery don’t even come to mind these days, so I feel grateful for these pain-free days. The memories of the hard first month have faded a lot over time too When I live this comfortably now, I sometimes wonder how I used to put up with that discomfort and live like that! Now that the appearance side is settled and the functional side is stable too, all the hard work I went through with the surgery and orthodontics feels at least somewhat rewarded, so these days I’m living each day comfortably and very happily!!! Thanks for reading such a long post!
