I wore glasses from the age of 8, so my eyesight was really bad. If you count from minus, it was almost around -20.. But I also had astigmatism, so without glasses I was basically blind and couldn’t even go anywhere. And when I wore contacts, maybe because of the curvature, even expensive lenses wouldn’t last more than 3 hours. My eyes hurt every day, and even with dailies it was just too hard, so I lived without being able to dress up properly. Then at 23 I begged my mom and got LASEK done. I got it with a school-affiliation discount!! But when I was about to do it together with my older brother, I was warned that both my astigmatism and my myopia were severe, and compared with other people my corneal thickness was not sufficient, so I could have more side effects than others. Still, I did it... I didn’t have money, so I just asked them to do it for me, and in the end I’m satisfied. Night driving does cause pretty bad glare, but just being able to live without glasses is so good

Orthodontic Reviews@ortho-reviewJul 11 High astigmatism surgery review

Orthodontic Reviews@ortho-reviewJul 7 Avoid Modoodoc hospitals. La Junsarang and LASIK Rescue Squad are scams too.
If you write a post about side effects on Modoodoc, they reject it and won't let you post it at all. It wasn't like that at first, but the platform just turned into hospital advertising. Avoid the Cafe posts from La Junsarang and LASIK…
Orthodontic Reviews@ortho-reviewJul 4 1-year LASIK/PRK review
Since I have astigmatism and myopia, I was deciding what to get, and for astigmatism, in my case they recommended LASIK, PRK, then SMILE in that order. Personally, I felt LASIK was too unsettling because of the way the cornea is handled…
Orthodontic Reviews@ortho-reviewJul 3 SMILE LASIK
I wore contact lenses for over 5 years, and ahead of getting a job, I had SMILE LASIK. I went on a friend's recommendation, had a consultation in the morning, and got the procedure the same day. For about 2 hours it hurt like someone was…
