High astigmatism surgery review

I have high astigmatism, so it took me a really long time to decide on vision correction surgery. When I searched online, I saw a lot of posts saying high astigmatism makes surgery difficult, and that Smile LASIK Pro might not even be possible at all, so I was really worried even before the consultation. I kept wondering whether the exam results would say my cornea was too thin or that my astigmatism was too severe, leading them to recommend a different surgery. Still, wearing glasses and contacts alternately was so inconvenient that I worked up the courage to get a detailed exam, and thankfully they carefully checked my eye condition and told me that Smile LASIK Pro was possible. They went through each test in detail and explained my eye condition, the surgery process, and the precautions in an easy-to-understand way, which eased a lot of the anxiety I had been carrying. I was very nervous on the day of surgery too, but the medical staff kept guiding me in a reassuring way, so I felt calmer than expected, and the surgery itself felt really short. During the surgery, I just had to follow the instructions, so it was much easier than I had imagined, and when it was over I even thought, 'Was that already it?' Right after the surgery, my vision felt a little hazy, but as time passed it became clearer and clearer, and even now I still find it amazing that I can see well without glasses from the next day. In particular, the parts that had bothered me because of the high astigmatism, like distant text looking blurry and strong nighttime glare, improved a lot, so I’m really satisfied. More than anything, I didn’t realize how comfortable it would be not having to look for glasses as soon as I woke up, and not having to bring contacts when exercising or going out. It almost feels like I wasted years just worrying and putting it off. If there are people like me who are worried that Smile LASIK Pro might not be possible because of high astigmatism, I hope you won’t give up just from reading posts online and will definitely get a detailed exam first. Since everyone’s eye condition is different, I think getting checked directly is the most accurate thing. In the end, my surgery went well and my vision recovered very satisfactorily, so I’m really happy. My quality of life has changed so much that I wonder why I didn’t do it sooner, and I hope my review helps others who are struggling with the same worries.
