Honest 1-month review of IVRO two-jaw surgery + contouring at YG Oral

Hello:) I had long dreamed about and desperately wished for the two-jaw surgery I had been thinking about for my whole life, and it has finally been one month since the operation.. I am so satisfied that I am going to share my 1-month story of IVRO two-jaw surgery + contouring 2 types (square jaw, chin)! > Why I decided to have surgery If you look at my childhood photos, I think my face shape was really pretty,, but after puberty my face suddenly became longer and my lower jaw felt like it was protruding forward I had my own hopes, so as soon as I entered high school I looked into dental clinics to get orthodontic treatment, and I did the braces, but the result was, well,, after that, because my lower jaw showed too much whenever I smiled, I hated having photos taken while smiling and lived really loving the COVID life haha I had been living more or less like that, but with marriage coming up, my future husband told me that if it was such a big complex, then I should just get surgery!!! so I found the courage, had a consultation right away, made a reservation, and the surgery all went ahead smoothly!!! > Why I chose the hospital As anyone would, the first priority was safety, the second priority was safety, and the third priority was safety. It was a surgery I had been looking into since I was young, and at that time it was the kind of surgery people talked about as being deadly,, so I was very scared and wanted to research it properly, so I started looking for a hospital!! As someone from the provinces, it was hard for me to visit many places in person, so I studied as much as possible from lots of reviews and the hospitals' websites, learning about each hospital's strengths and surgical methods!! As a result, I chose YG Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery, which is in its second generation and performs one surgery per day while also letting you watch the surgery CCTV in real time! > What I felt after the consultation lol Some of you may misunderstand. People may think the director is unfriendly. But he only says what is really necessary and what needs to be said. So maybe that makes me trust him more? He explained things exactly according to my face condition and absolutely did not recommend excessive surgery. He chose the IVRO method because my jawbone was thin and because of the nerve line, and he said my bite fit well so I would not need separate post-orthodontic treatment!!!! People with F personalities may think he is a bit blunt, but T personalities will probably be 100% satisfied Me = T > What changed after surgery First of all, I can see with my own eyes that my jaw moved back, and just that alone makes me so happy.. Also, the mask I used before got bigger,, that surprised me so much hehe I planned not to meet people until most of the swelling had gone down, so I only saw my boyfriend and my parents, and my parents were so happy, saying my face had become much smaller and cuter. My boyfriend also says my side profile is completely different and likes it ^^,, I want the swelling to go down fast so I can wear pretty clothes and go out and have fun hehe,,hehe > Recovery after surgery * Day 1 I had watched a lot of vlogs before going in, and thought, oh,, if it's this much, I can endure it^^ Right after the surgery when I came out, even though I was totally dazed, I felt a lot of pain in my jaw. And I was so sleepy that every bit of irritation made me angry,, Sitting up was also so hard, and I wanted so badly to sleep but could not, which was hard,, Still, I think I could bear it because the guardian beside me watched over me!!! I absolutely do not recommend going to surgery alone!!!! And finally the time came when I could sleep, and I had such blissful sleep!! The nurses took good care of me all night, so aside from my mouth being tied and my butt hurting, there was nothing uncomfortable at all! * Day 2 I thought I had really endured well, but I vomited while getting pain medication in the morning,,, But the nurse did not panic at all and changed everything from the blanket to my clothes, and to make me even a little more comfortable, she removed the nasal tube and urinary catheter first!! After that, I saw the director and all the blood vessels were removed too!! Once all those lines were gone, my body felt much more comfortable! And he told me to walk around the hospital a little by little,, but I was so sleepy that I just slept all day,, hehe I woke up only when it was time for medicine, then slept again and again, sleeping like a corpse.. * Day 3 - discharge day My boyfriend overslept and was much later than the discharge time, but I am so grateful that they waited and helped me discharge safely!! On the way home I just slept.. I really have no memory except that I slept hard,, My head really hurt and I was so sleepy,, * Day 4 to one week Sleeping was not hard at all.. I kept feeling sleepy, so I slept to my heart's content!! The hardest thing for me was taking medicine,,,, I thought I was going to lose it. The medicine tasted so bad and felt disgusting ^^.. From other posts I saw people taking medicine and then quickly drinking juice, but that did not work for me!!! Pocari, orange, grape, none of them mattered hehe hehe The powdered drinks were still so-so,, In the end I took the medicine mixed into New Care, and even that I eventually got used to after vomiting and started eating it deliciously nyami~ They said I would swell a lot during the first week, but I did not swell much!! Maybe because I slept a lot....? And I visited the hospital for disinfection, and it really stings,,~ * Week 2 Gradually eating gets much faster, and gargling and lying down become part of daily life..~ The swelling was not much different from the first week. What bothered me most at this time was that my ears felt very blocked and my nose was completely stuffed up Since they said it would gradually get better, I waited while diligently reading other reviews:) And from this point on, I heard I could remove the wafer and rubber bands when eating, so that was interesting At first, when I took the rubber bands off, it felt like my jaw was going to fall out, but thankfully I got used to it quickly!!!! I practiced opening my mouth really, really hard!!!!! From this point on, I started eating cake and everything soft I could eat,, * Week 3 Because I worked so hard on warm compresses and walking, I could see the swelling going down day by day!!! Once I could see that little by little, I walked and did compresses even more diligently!!! The number of rubber bands increased from 3 to 4, and it was so suffocating and a little hard,, Still, keeping my mouth tied all the time made me get used to it quickly hehe?? Since I had been eating only drinks every day, I lost 7 kg, so I tried on pretty clothes at home and even did a fashion show, living in a very good mood * * Week 4 It was finally the week to remove the wafer, so I was unbelievably happy!!!! I kept wondering what to eat first and then wondering again,,, But my gums are weak, so it was hard for me to wear the rubber bands without the wafer hehe,,hehe In the end I put the wafer back in and am wearing the rubber bands.. Oh, and the screws also became loose, so I went and had them fixed again hehe There is no pain, and right now the swelling has gone down a lot and there is not much discomfort anymore!!!! One nostril and one ear are still blocked, but I am getting used to it and living with it,, I still cannot believe it has already been a month, and time really flies!!!! Thinking about two-jaw surgery only delays it, so I think if you are going to do it, the answer is to do it sooner. Sending encouragement to everyone who is worried about two-jaw surgery, please gather your courage and go for it!!! Then once the swelling goes down more and I look even prettier, I will write another review ~!~!~!
