Hello. From my school days until before the surgery, my close friends used to tease me, saying my jaw stuck out because of prognathism and malocclusion, and that my face looked long, so I felt a lot of stress from that appearance-related complex. After a lot of deliberation, I decided I should have double jaw surgery, and while looking for a hospital, Wy Oral Surgery came up in YouTube Shorts, and because they said they do one surgery a day, I went there for a consultation. During the consultation, Dr. Lee Seokjae and the consultation manager explained everything step by step and very kindly, so I immediately decided on double jaw surgery and contouring procedures 2 kinds (square jaw and chin). On the surgery day, December 4, I went to the hospital alone. I changed clothes and lay down on the operating table without it feeling real. But when I opened my eyes again, I was out of it from the anesthesia, my nose was blocked so I could not breathe properly, my throat was dry, and every time I swallowed saliva it hurt so much that only then did I regret why I had done this. I kept going with the thought that time would heal it, and by week 1 I could remove the wafer when eating, and by week 2 the stitches were removed too. I had been told stitch removal hurts a lot, so I went very tense, but it hurt less than I expected, though it still hurt. As time passed, I could eat a little more and more, and as I became more comfortable, I also felt more satisfied with my changed face. Now at week 4, I have removed the wafer and started orthodontic treatment. The discomfort of having to wear the wafer is gone. I can eat rice and soft side dishes, the big swelling seems to have gone down a lot, and my face is clearly different from before surgery, so I keep looking in the mirror and feeling satisfied myself. People around me often say my impression has become softer, and my family also said my face has changed a lot and that I really made a good decision to have the surgery. My friends also say my face looks smaller and that double jaw surgery really turned out well for me. I hope the swelling goes down quickly and time passes soon!
