Malocclusion, underbite, facial asymmetry... I had double jaw surgery and my life changed

My concerns were malocclusion, underbite, and facial asymmetry. Even when I smiled or talked, I was conscious of it, and when I took photos, the facial line looked like it was twisted to one side, which caused a lot of stress. Especially because my chin looked like it was jutting forward, I seemed a bit sharp in expression and the overall balance looked off, so after worrying for a long time I eventually had double jaw surgery.Right after surgery, honestly, the swelling was so severe and there was so much discomfort that there were times I wondered if I had done the wrong thing. But around 2 months later, the swelling really went down a lot, and even when I went out without a mask, people couldn't tell I had had surgery because the swelling had gone down so much, and eating became somewhat possible, so from then on my satisfaction went way up. I showed myself to people around me for the first time around then too, and everyone said it turned out so well and that I made the right choice, so that's when it really hit me. I kept doing mouth-opening exercises and thought that once the swelling around the philtrum and beside the nose went down more, that would be enough, and from then on, every time I looked at my face I felt like all the hardship had been worth it.As more time passed, I really gained a lot of confidence. From month 9 onward, there was almost no discomfort and the bones had healed well, so I just kept thinking I was glad I did it, and when I told people meeting me for the first time that I'd had surgery, they said it looked surprisingly natural, which made me even happier. By about 1 year, I'd recovered well without any major issues, and now there are almost no signs of surgery at all, it just feels like it settled in naturally as my own face. I'm genuinely very satisfied. These days I'm living much brighter and more confidently than before!!
