I had orthodontic treatment in 2010, and after that I had a retainer with wire attached to the inside of my upper and lower teeth. The dentist said I had to keep it for life, but it kept coming off from time to time, and tartar also built up easily where the retainer was attached, so it felt like my teeth were not being cared for properly.. I kept it on for 10 years and eventually removed it.. But then, right after it came off, my upper teeth started to spread apart...? At first I thought, well, I am married and I have a child now.. maybe I should just live with it.. But once I noticed it, I kept seeing it, so I looked into no-prep laminate veneers! After the consultation, they said my teeth could not be done with absolutely no-prep, and that I needed to shave just a little from the sides for proper bonding, so I proceeded with minimal-prep. They also recommended whitening, but... because I love coffee, I refused whitening.. lol My teeth came in a week later and I had them bonded today, and I really love them..
