Hello! I am a patient who had double jaw surgery with Director Shin Hee-jin at [Clinic A] haha It's already been 10 months since my surgery!
These days, I live so naturally that I almost forget I even had surgery. My orthodontic treatment is also almost finished, so there is hardly anything uncomfortable, and my bite feels much more stable than before, so there is nothing that bothers me when I eat or go about daily life.
In the beginning, I worried a lot about swelling and recovery, and I also wondered whether I would really settle into the shape I wanted. But as time passed, my facial line became naturally more refined and my bite stabilized, so my satisfaction has been getting higher and higher haha
In particular, before I used to unconsciously worry about angles when taking photos or avoid showing my side profile, but now that stress is almost gone. After taking photos, I no longer end up only looking for the parts I dislike like I used to; instead, I feel like my overall atmosphere has become much softer, which makes me satisfied!
People around me often say that my face looks much more neat or that my impression has become softer, and every time I hear that, I think I really made the right decision to have surgery haha More than anything, while the external changes are good, I think the biggest change is that I gained a lot of confidence myself.
Now that the orthodontics are almost fully finished, I'm looking forward to seeing what I will look like then! When I think back to the old me who was worrying about surgery, it feels like I have spent much more time living with satisfaction than worrying. I plan to finish the remaining orthodontic treatment well and take good care of myself from here on out haha
