Double-Jaw Surgery Reviews

2-Week Review of Double-Jaw Surgery to Overcome My Underbite Complex!!!

It has already been 2 weeks since my surgery. I thought time would pass really slowly, but as I focused on recovery day by day, before I knew it I had reached the 2-week mark. At first, the swelling made it hard to see much change, but these days I can feel little differences every time I look in the mirror, and it feels amazing. Especially when I compare it with photos from before surgery, I can clearly see that my chin length has been reduced, which makes me very satisfied. The underbite and asymmetry that I worried about the most also feel like they are gradually being corrected, so I am looking forward to how it will look once more of the swelling goes down. I am still in the recovery process, but my overall facial line feels much softer. Now that it's been 2 weeks, the swelling has gone down a lot and daily life is much more comfortable. I visit the clinic every day for swelling laser treatment, and maybe because of that, my face line feels like it is gradually being refined, so I am continuing to receive care. For recovery, I am also consistently walking for at least 30 minutes a day and paying attention to my nutrition, focusing on helping my body heal. Rather than forcing myself to diet, eating well and resting well seem to help recovery. Most of all, before surgery I was very conscious of my chin and facial angle when taking photos or meeting people, but now I am getting more confident as I look forward to the changes ahead. Since this was a surgery I had been worrying about for a long time, I feel like I made the right decision. I am also very grateful to Dr. Kim Jong-yoon of the Department of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery at Ieum who performed the surgery. From the consultation stage, he explained my current condition and the surgical direction without exaggeration, and I felt even more trust because he treated me with the goal of the natural change I wanted. The recovery process is still continuing, but as I enter the 2-week mark, I can see small changes in my face and my body feels much better, so I am looking forward to what comes next. I plan to keep recording how the swelling goes down and settles. 😊
