Review from month 4 to 5 of orthodontic treatment 😊 When I first started palatal expansion, the front teeth that had been spaced apart have now completely come back together, so that has been the biggest change I have felt. Recently, to get the bite aligned better, I have also increased the amount of time I wear the rubber bands, and I now keep them on steadily for most of the day. At first, the rubber bands kept rubbing the inside of my cheeks, causing inflammation and some discomfort, but as time passed my mouth seems to have adapted, and now I am doing well without pain or discomfort. It does not cause any major problems in daily life, and it feels fascinating that the back teeth are gradually coming together more naturally. At this visit, they explained that next month they will probably remove the palatal expander and begin full-scale orthodontic treatment, so I am even more excited. I am looking forward to seeing how my teeth and bite change from here on 😊
