I had double jaw surgery at 20, and it feels like a second life..!

I spent a really long time worrying about it, and my face shape was such a huge complex for me... As soon as I turned 20, I had double jaw surgery plus two types of contouring (square jaw and chin), and I’m living a new life!! First of all, my maxilla was long because of a recessed midface, so when I smiled too much gum showed, and of course my mandible also had a slight underbite and asymmetry... it was truly a lower-face setup that was beyond rescue. I was doing pre-orthodontic treatment, but the dentist said orthodontics alone wouldn’t solve it, and when the plastic surgery clinic also recommended double jaw surgery, I became even more determined to do it... When choosing a hospital, my first priority was that it be an oral and maxillofacial surgery clinic, and I think I mostly checked whether the director’s aesthetic sense matched mine by looking at before-and-after photos on the websites of the hospitals that many people go to. I still vividly remember the nurse telling me that it would be really hard after surgery and not to be too shocked..;; Thinking about that night still makes me shudder!!!! Exactly, the ECG monitor was checking my blood pressure every 15 minutes, and I still remember it was 22 times by 8 a.m., when they removed the urine catheter. Even so, I never called the nurse. I didn’t think suctioning would be any better, so I just endured it... On the second day I slept through the whole night lol and it was almost as comfortable as being at home. I walked the hospital hallway at dawn, watched TV, and even looked out the window at Gangnam-daero lol T_T I kept searching for recovery reviews and endured it, so while reading my post, I hope you can stay motivated too.. haha After surgery, I gained confidence, and above all, the fact that my side profile became a normal structure made my stride feel more confident too. Sensation has mostly returned, over 80%, and there are no major side effects! The recovery process was really hard, but I think from week 6 onward I felt there was nothing inconvenient in daily life. I can’t believe it’s already been 3 months,, thank you to the director who created my new face, the manager who always smiles and tells me I look so much prettier, and the nurse in charge. I’m a nursing student, and because you left me with such a good memory, it helped me solidify my dream even more.
