⭐️For those looking into non-open silicone removal⭐️I’m going to leave a detailed record of my surgery process.The reason I ended up getting silicone removed> After my first surgery, the hump correction did not go well, and my nose looked too masculine.The most stressful part was that even though I had surgery, when people looked at my face, they said the nose was the first thing they noticed, and I was told it looked more masculine than feminine.Even when I smiled, I still felt a pulling sensation in my nose, and because my smile looked awkward, it made my nose look like a hooked nose, so I started looking into revision surgery.Non-open silicone removal> After my first surgery, I still vividly remembered how much I struggled with recovery, so I wanted to have non-open surgery.I visited a few hospitals known for silicone removal, but the consultations were shorter than I expected.Even when I didn’t fully understand, the doctor would just say what he wanted to say and leave.There were many places that wanted me to do something different from what I had hoped for, such as laying silicone back in at a lower height, so choosing a hospital was not easy.Then I had a consultation with CEO surgeon Oh Seung-il at VN Plastic Surgery.After getting a CT scan and hearing the doctor’s consultation, I learned for the first time that my nasal bone itself was irregular.lolAnd he said that my nose was the kind that could look sufficiently pretty even if only the tip was raised, not the bridge, so he recommended removing the silicone completely.He said they would refine the overall nose shape by combining septal extension, cartilage repositioning, and cartilage tying.All of this was not just explained verbally; he also showed me the changes directly through virtual surgery rendering.He also pointed out the areas I personally found uncomfortable and explained them first, and even when I asked about unfamiliar surgical terms, the doctor explained everything without hesitation.From that moment, I decided I wanted to have surgery there.On the day of surgery> Honestly, even on the day itself, I was conflicted about whether it was right to reshape my nose again using cadaver rib...When the doctor marked the design that day, I asked again about the concerns I had.He said that to correct my long nose and hooked nose, the nose tip was really important.It wasn’t a vague explanation; he explained it again just like he had during the first consultation, checked whether I understood clearly, and then proceeded with the surgery.What was even more shocking was that after the surgery, when I saw the doctor again, he said that during the revision surgery they found Medpor in my nose, and also dissolvable stitches inside the nose (my nose didn’t hurt, but I did feel a pulling sensation).lolSo the doctor said he removed all of that cleanly.I was glad that he explained things I wouldn’t have known otherwise before I even had to ask about them.Recovery > almost no pain, a little blood on day 2, removed the splint and tape by myself on day 3I was worried because they said I could remove the tape at home by myself,but I managed to remove it safely on my own.I was so careful and peeled it off very slowly and gently in case I damaged my skin, but honestly, knowing my personality, I also thought I probably should have had it removed at the hospital.After the removal, the hump was no longer visible and my nose shape changed to look more feminine, so I’m satisfied.I usually don’t take photos from the side because of my nose, but after the revision I’ve been taking side-profile photos nonstop....When I first posted a nose photo story on Insta, everyone around me asked if I had gotten my nose done.Now, if you look only at the shape of my nose, the hump and hooked nose have naturally improved.But people who knew my old nose know that it wasn’t like this before, lol so I’m just saying openly that I had a revision surgery.I worried a lot about whether I’d end up with problems after revision surgery and kept getting anxious, but in the end I think I’m lucky that it turned out even more stable.I’ve rambled on, but I wrote this in hopes that it helps even one person among everyone here.
