Double-Jaw Surgery Reviews

My confidence has really increased after double-jaw surgery

It has already been six months since my double-jaw surgery and three-part facial contouring surgery (cheekbones, square jaw, and chin). Time really seems to have flown.

Before surgery, I worried a lot about my facial shape, especially how I looked from the front and side. When taking photos, I was conscious of the angle because I disliked my facial shape and jawline, and I naturally avoided photos showing my side profile.

Since double-jaw surgery is a major operation, I had many concerns before deciding. I worried that my face might change too much afterward or that my chin might become too short and look unmasculine.

Still, I wanted to properly improve the areas I had thought about for a long time, so I decided to have surgery at [Clinic A]. Now that six months have passed, I truly feel I made the right decision.

At first, there was a lot of swelling and recovery was not easy, but as time passed, I could feel the swelling gradually decreasing and my facial lines settling. When I first had surgery, I worried about what would happen, but now I am satisfied because my facial proportions seem to have been refined naturally overall.

The side profile, which concerned me most, has improved a lot. I like that my overall facial proportions changed naturally without making my chin feel too short, and taking photos has become much easier.

During recovery, I initially ate mostly soft foods, but over time I gradually became able to eat regular food too. Now I can chew foods such as meat and gimbap without much difficulty. My sensation is also not particularly uncomfortable now, so I can manage daily life with almost no inconvenience.

My orthodontic treatment is continuing, and my bite is gradually improving, so I am also satisfied that the functional aspects are getting better.

The biggest change is that I can now show my side profile much more confidently than before, whether other people look at it or not.

The orthodontic and recovery processes are not completely finished yet, but after six months, what I have felt is that the satisfaction I gained is much greater than the concerns I had before surgery. I worried a great deal before deciding because it was a major operation, but looking at myself now, I feel that I made the right choice.

As more time passes, the swelling should decrease further and my facial lines should fully settle, so I am looking forward to the final result becoming even more natural.^^
