The after-surgery photos were taken about two months after my revision rhinoplasty at [Clinic A]. You can consider the major swelling gone.
First surgery → 13 years ago, using silicone and ear cartilage.
Reason for revision → My nostrils were too visible, and the shape was not my style. On top of that, a year after surgery, cartilage protruded inside my nose...;;; I hurriedly had only that area fixed, and perhaps because of that, the tip was too short—the whole situation was a mess.
Revision surgery → Silicone, donor rib cartilage, and ear cartilage were used. The silicone was replaced with a slightly thinner one than the original, and rib cartilage was used for septal extension.
Satisfaction ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐
The starting point of my nasal bridge was too close to my eyebrows, which gave me a slightly masculine impression, but lowering it a little made my image much softer.
I also like that extending the tip created a natural straight-to-slightly-curved profile.
It is also nice that my nostrils are less visible from the front.
There is a general opinion in the community that silicone always causes capsular contracture, but that is not inevitable, so it is best to choose materials suited to each person.
I had silicone for 13 years without developing capsular contracture, and during the consultation, the director explained various materials, so I could choose according to my budget and other factors.
Everyone, rather than being locked into rules like “this material for a first nose job, that material for a revision,” get consultations about various options and choose what seems best suited to you. I hope you all end up with beautiful noses!!
